We always complain when prices go up. But, did we ever realize that the common people are the reasons why prices go up? We want increases and incentives to have more spending money, to improve lifestyle. For the company we work for, where will they get the increases that we want? Where will they get the money or finances to provide for retirements? Of course from price increase, as their costs increase with the increase of pay they give! Not to mention if they have to pay retirement benefits. They would not want to use the companys profits or gains! How will they survive in the business or in the industry? Other than that, companies absorb depreciation and subsequent replacement costs for equipments or machinery! The same way we have to refurbish our house, change our cars, refrigerators, computers,TV sets, furnitures, clothes, etcetera. When we want to improve our standard of living, we should expect prices to go up. That's the only way businessessor industries can cope up with such kind of demands.

Oil producing countries have only oil as their main produce. As an example, the Middle East has only oil and nothing more of natural resources to make their nations earn from. They don't have other productive industries that could compete, or that could replace their oil resources once it goes dry. They have resorted to making high tech farms and saline water conversions to provide their countries with basic necessities. In so doing, this makes them aware of the future of their oil industry. They know it will not be forever but they have taken the necessary steps to ensure the basics of their future. That is what many of us will want to do, secure our and that of our childrens future.

There is, at present, so much need and demand for oil as many industries depend on it as well as with normal daily living. If the company you work for uses energy to do business, in one way or another, it has to depend on oil to keep it going. The business will have to increase its price on products or services if employees want salary increases. But will it be able to do so if, at the same time, the oil price increase will make their products or services less saleable?

Demanding for more pay, salary, gain or profits will just make prices keep going up. Will we survive if we all generally keep our lifestyles a little bit less than we want to? The answers is yes! For entertainment and leisure, we could, for starters, maybe rent or hire horses for short trips or getaways! For sea, lake or river excursions, it would be more exciting to use manual power. All we need to do is sacrifice more hours, or days, for these. Companies should understand this because the lesser your costs for lifestyle the lesser would be the demands for salary increase. In the end, it will be beneficial to all.

Just imagine in the early 1800s, they used animal and plain human power to get things done. They had less psychological problems, stress and depressions then. Could you not imagine if many of the people in the world today would would go for that? Yes, this was mentioned and suggested through the modern means of the internet. Still, the internet could remain as it is while we try and "set-back" ourselves for more affordable lifestyles. If we do, prices should not be more of a matter or concern. Cheers!
