If you are an Internet Marketer, you might know there are three things that are essential in making a lot of money online. They are

• Traffic
• Conversion

In this article, l'll focus on the traffic part.

Traffic is your bloodline in your online business. No matter how attractive you site might be, you are doomed to failure if you don't have any traffic.

SO HOW DO YOU DRIVE LOTS OF TRAFFIC TO YOUR SITE?

In fact, there are many different ways to drive website trafiic to your online business. You can use PPC (Pay-Per-Click), natural or organic SEO (Search Engine Optimization), banner ads, email marketing, forum ads, joint ventures, etc.

BUT WHAT IS THE MOST EFFICIENT WAY TO DO SO?

Working in Internet Marketing world for so long, I see one of the easiest ways to drive traffic to your site, at least for me, is using expired or popular keyword domain names.

TRAFFIC FROM EXPIRED DOMAINS

Currently there are 46 million domains that are expired and about 42,000 domains expire every single day.

ARE THEY ALL BAD DOMAINS?

Not necessarily. Many of them belong to successful and profitable online businesses. When I say "successful and profitable", it means lots of traffic.

THEN WHY ARE THEY EXPIRED?

Well, in many cases, domain owners many have forgotten to renew their domains or did not know because they never received a notification.

By expired domains, you get almost instant traffic to your site as soon as you register for that domain. Be careful though. That domain must have good existing traffic to start with.

I'll be honest. It's not easy to find expired domains with good existing traffic. Even if you find one, it's always taken by someone else before you register it.

However, if you could find and register one that has good exisitng traffic, you've found a gold nugget.

BUT HOW CAN YOU FIND OUT WHETHER IT HAS EXISTING TRAFFIC OR NOT?

A good question! The answer is Alexa ranking. You can go to http://www.alexa.com/ and check for its traffic. It's always good to check its Google PageRank as well. If it's above 3, it's another bonus.

- Key Point: It's better to have domains that are in the same category. For example, webhosting.com and smartdomains.com will work better than webhosting.com and fruitcake.com. You know what I mean?

My source for expired domains is http://www.deleteddomains.com/. You do have to subscribe to its service if you want to see more than 20 domains for your keyword search. It's about $14.99/mth or $99/yr. It's worth it.

TRAFFIC FROM POPULAR KEYWORD DOMAINS

Secondly, another way to get tons of free traffic to your site is by popular keyword domain names.

You can buy domain names that contain the very keyword you're targeting at and what you can do is do some SEO on your site and add a link from your other sites that has good PageRank and voila! Now you're in the 1st page of your targeted keyword.

This second way to drive traffic by popular keyword domains is a very powerful method. I bought a domain name called http://www.linuxwebsitehosting.ca/ a few months ago and added some inbound links from my other sites and within 2 weeks, I was No. 1 for the keyword "linux website hosting."

I couldn't believe it. Even though it was such a competivie keyword, I was able to position myself in No. 1 position because of the keyword in my domain name.

- Key Point: When you add inbound link from your other sites, always use your keyword as your anchor text. For example, if you want to rank high for your keyword "linux website hosting", you must use this keyword as an anchor test for your inbound links. This is very important!

BIRTH OF EXPIRED DOMAIN TRAFFIC SECRETS

After doing this manually for such a long time, I wanted to find a way to automate what I was doing.

So I searched online everywhere to find a software to find these expired domains (mostly availability of thousands of expired domains in a matter of seconds) or popular keyword domain names.

After spending much time searching without any success, I finally decided to create my own software to save time in doing what I was doing. So I've created this software called "Expired Domain Traffic Secrets."

What this software does is it finds the availability of literally thousands of expired domains IN A MATTER OF SECONDS. This was my daily routine to go through the entire list of expired domains one by one. You wouldn't believe how I abused my eyes doing this.

Also it finds popular keyword domains extracted from Overture.com database. As you probably know, Overture.com is known for its free keyword Suggestion Tool. It displays popular keywords that people are searching for.
