Indian places attract tourists around the world

India is a place of culture, values and a very unique society; it is distinctly different because of its strong heritage that follows different attributes in the society. Far from this truth, is a truth about India attracting over 4.4 million tourists every year. This was a figure that was statistically proven for the year 2007 by the Ministry of Tourism.

Being Indian, I feel I have known so little about my country or the places that have attracted many tourists throughout the year. After doing a research and after physically visiting some of the beautiful places in India last year, I felt I should share this secret with my readers, who might want to make India as their next destination for travel.

Let me start of with:

Mumbai:

There is no count to Mumbai population, the figures increase every sec. Mumbai is densely populated with more than 50 sub cultures living in Mumbai. Mumbai is a mixture of every thing, it is a big city; tourists attraction; industrial; business orientated and last but not the least it is known to have many slums.

Some readers might think, awwwwwwwwwwwww! slums! Yeah thats right, but the most important thing is thats what signifies the naturality of Mumbai.

Mumbai has many places that Tourists like to travel ever year, the all time favorite is The Gateway of India. Many Tourists going to Mumbai, never miss this Gigantic place. It was built during the early times of British empire, but is still a great fascination for many tourists. Gateway of India is a pass way that leads to Ajanta Caves. Ajanta caves are very magnificient and there is no way to capture its art work in your camcorder. However, Ajanta Caves is the art work sculptured into the walls of big rocks. The art work signifies different hindu warriors and also Gods and Godesses.

None the less amongst the above famous destinations in Mumbai, there is Juhu beach, Marine drive Essel world,Bassein, Matheran, Lonavala etc...

The highlight of Mumbai would be 'The Bollywood City' you do not want to miss the chance of visiting, bollywood city, it is one of the famous film corner, and a hangout for many tourists to see the film making process and get themselves introduced if possible to famous actors and actresses in the city.

GOA

Goa, obviously, I would have no words to explain Goa. It is known by every westerner who wants to make one trip to this destination. Goa is a mixture of all kinds of people and specially the 'Konkanis' It is the language spoke in Goa.

Goa has always been a tourists attraction place. It welcomes its tourists to take them to the hearts of different beaches, restaurants and clubs that are famous in the country.

Goa is mostly surrounded by coconut trees and is very pleasant during the winter. In summer the heat might kill you, but you will still survive with its unfailing beauty and the capacity of providing you air conditioned hotel rooms.

South of India

Kerala, Bangalore, Ooty, Chickmaglur are the places you want to visit. Once again, clean air, good food, wonderful people and beautiful trees planted amidst every street and road you go to. Ooty is specially a destination for the honeymooners :) anyways it is just a tip. Ooty is tremendously cold and has the most pleasant weather all year round.

North of India

Punjab, Rajasthan, Himalayas, Simla, Kufri, the most wonderful places I was priviledged to visit. I never knew it snowed in India, until I went an visitied these absolutely beautiful places. Oh yeah! it is cold, you will find snow filled mountains and hills and people are just wonderful. This is also a cool place for honey mooners to go and vist. However there are many tourists who go and visit these places even if they are alone, there is just lots to see.

Delhi and the beautiful taj mahal

The reader might say, this writer has come to the end of the article and how can she miss the most beautiful sculpted memory of Taj mahal. No! I had saved it last. Although I havent visited Taj Mahal. It is very beautiful and there are no words to express the love of Shahjahan for his wife mumtaz Mahal. If you all know the history it is sculpted in the memory of a queen who was loved and adored. Dont you wish all husbands can do that.

I am sorry to give you very vague explainations for some of the places to travel. India is just so vast and I had too little words to express its beauty.

I was able to identify with some places because those are the places I have been to visit in India. However! I am sure all you readers are excited about this place called India and might just want to take a chance.

Due to the web copyrights I apologize that I am not able to Post any Pictures. Sorry about that!
