India lost the India-Australia Test Series to Umpires not Cricketers
51Poor Umpiring Cost India the Test Series
The India Australia 2nd Cricket, rather CROOKED Test match ( Gavaskar Border Trophy) really should have been called an India vs Umpires Test match. I'm sure almost all Indians will endorse the fact that the Indian cricket team lost a winning battle solely because of horrendous umpiring. Any outsider who doesn't agree with this fact will do so only because he or she is a victim of prejudice.
The coincidence, if it was, of all the umpire decisions except for the one against Ponting in the first innings going against the Indians has to explained by the two umpires in question. It is a real sorry state of affairs that prevail in Cricket in terms of Umpiring. These judges on the field are never held accountable for the ridiculous decisions they make, decisions that often cost the match to a particular team. And again it is a strange coincidence that such decisions are normally against the Asian teams. All said and done, it remains to be seen what actions the ICC initiates (which I doubt they will) against these two spoilsports who really ruined the game for India.
Such blunders on the part of these umpires are far too many to be neglected and calls for some immediate measures. The 2nd India Australia test match is a perfect example of how the umpires decide the outcome of the match and not the players. After watching this shameful event one is compelled to say Cricket is better off without these human umpires and they need to be supplanted by technology that knows no prejudice or racism, and sure isn't as idiot and incompetent as Steve Bucknor and his counterpart BEN.
