Delicious Indian food

India is a home of varieties of food. Most of the Indian food are vegetarian. Sweets of India are really nice. We find it different from north to south and east to west.

South Indian food is totally different from North Indian. North Indians use more of wheat products whereas South Indians depend on rice products. Idli, Dosa, Sambhar, Bada, Uttapam, Rasam are some of the common South Indian food. Most of those are prepared with rice. Gram is also ingredient of some of these food such as Sambhar and Bada.

Huge quantity of coconut are grown in South Indian states of India. Hence, South Indians use lots of coconut to add taste to their food as Chatni or some thing else. They also cook in coconut oil.

North India has wide range of food in its list. They use Roti, Chapati, phulka etc in their daily meal and puri, besani etc in festive mood. They prepare Khichdi and vegetable Polao in which main contents are rice.

Varieties of vegetables are also coocked in North India. North Indian Kadhi is renowned even in Europe and America. North Indian people also prepare dal. mandiya, kath etc to be eaten either with roti or rice.

Various types of sweets are also prepared . Jalebi, Rabdi, Imarti, Laddu. Barfi, Peda, Gujiya and Sattu are few to name. Mishri Mawa and Gulab sakri of Jaipur are delicious. There are salted recipes like Kachodi, Samosha those are found everywhere. Bhujiya of Bikaner and Dalmoth of Delhi and Agra are renowned in the world.
