FANS of Indiana Jones will always remembered this archeologist turn hero with his battered fedora, lethal bullwhip and swashbuckling style. I can recall back during the 80s when an Indiana Jones movie was released for the very first time, I was in my early teen and those who remember the 1981 release of the pilot film, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, would recall the high-action elements that left audiences on the edge of their seats.

The brains behind the Indiana Jones came from George Lucas and Steven Spielberg who directed, produced and release all four Indiana Jones movies. The first Movie, Raiders Of The Lost Ark was first collaboration or put it in the right word, cooperation between the two long time friends, a decision that came about in 1977 while both were vacationing in Hawaii and results of that movie, it won five Academy Awards.

Even the movie soundtrack become so familiar to the audience that it associate with adventure.

The only person who we can think played this part of hero as Indiana Jones is none other than Harrison Ford. Kinda tough and macho, good looking guy.

Harrison Ford, when asked what does he think of Indy? and the answered he gave was...'Indiana's a kind of a swashbuckling hero-type, but he has human frailties, fears and money problems and down to earth guy. He does brave things but I wouldn't describe him as a hero. He teaches but I wouldn't describe him as am intellectual. He doesn't have any fancy gatgetry keeping him at a distance from the enemies and trouble. He's right in there with just a bullwhip to keep the world at bay.'

Indy is just like us. He is still make mistakes and encounter failures and everyday situation he has to face. Nothing seems right but he managed to get through with it and move on. Life is full of Adventures.

In the pilot movie, Raiders Of Th Lost Ark, Dr.Indiana Jones (also known as Indy) is hired by the United States government to find the Ark of the Covenant but the enemy agents came to know about it and also want to pursue the same stuff for the purpose of gaining global domination. And this is how Indy is forced into thrilling adventure from the darkest jungles of South America to the bustling markets of cairo to get to the Ark first and save the world. Brilliant Act.

By the time 2nd movie was made in 1984 (Indiana Jones and The Temples Of Doom), it takes Indiana on another of his aventures; this time from the sheedy backstreets of Shanghai and the Indian splendour of a Maharajah's palace into the maelstrom of danger and destruction.

In the barren Indian village bereft of children, Indy pledges to help the chieftain to find and return to its rightful shrine, the sacred Sankara Stone.

We never knew that Indy has a father but in this movie "Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade" which was made in 1989, we meet Indy' father, Dr.Henry Jones, played by Sean Connery. After settling down to a quieter life, indy is thrust back into action when his father mysteriously disappears while on a quest for the Holy Grail. Indy had to travels to Venice, Berlin, and Jordan in his search, while trying to outwit the Nazis at the same time. Be sure to look out for the scene where Indy comes face to face with Adolf Hitler himself. That's will be interesting to watch. Indy and his father never ever feel comfortable to each other and Indy will behaves differently in his father's presence especially when his father called him 'Junior' something that Indy hates?

After for so long Indiana Jones's movie had been silence without any news whatsoever, suddenly it has been resurrected after nineteen years with ' Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull' that brought back Spielberg, Lucas and Ford to teaming up again for one more dynamic adventure. In this movie Indy meets rebellious young Mutt (Played by Shia LaBeouf) who has a proposition for him, to find the Crystal Skull of Akator which the Soviet agents are also on hot pursuits of the Crystal Skull which they believe can help them dominate the world

• George Lucas chose to set Raiders Of The Lost Ark in the year 1936 in order to use some intriquing facts. Adolf Hitler was an avid student of religious doctrine and artifacts and believed in the power of the occult.
• Raiders Of The Lost Ark was Harrison Ford's fourth collaboration with George Lucas. He  previously starred in Lucas' American Graffiti, Star Wars amd The Empire Strikes Back.
• Despite the obvious danger, Steven Spielberg used more than 6,000 reptiles, including pythons, cobras and boa constrictors to shoot a scenes in Raiders Of The Lost Ark. They could'nt flim theses scenes without having srrum standing by and a doctor to administer it.
• Raiders Of The Lost Ark was filmed in France, England, the Tunisian desert and Hawaii.
• Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom was filmed  in Sri Lanka, Macau, England and California. Sri Lanka offered the filmmakers every conceivable variation of scenery including thick jungles rugged thick jungles, rugged mountains, lush valleys and impressive rock formation.
• The Indian village in The Temple of Doom was a newly constructed set. This was more practical than employing an existing village since the site had to appear alternatively desolate and lush and prosperous.  
• The late River Phoenix starred in the role of  the young Indiana Jones in The Last Crusade.
• The Last Crusade was filmed in Spain, England, Venice, Jordan and the United States.
• Harrison Ford performed many of his own stunts in The Last Crusade.
• Indiana Jones' one weakness is an absolute pathological fear of snakes.
• Indiana's trademark personal items are the bullwhip, the haversack, his gun belt, his whip keep, his journals, his father's pocket watch and his glasses.
