Indiana Jones 4 First Day Filming

The fourth film in the Indiana Jones series Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was released worldwide on May 22, 2008. The film comes after a long gap since the third in the series, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the earlier ones being The Raiders Of The Lost Ark, and Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom. The delay owes to many false starts and change in script writers. Shooting finally commenced on June 18, 2007, and at 65 Harrison Ford still play the title role. The film feature an older Indiana Jones and is set in 1957.

The much anticipated title was announced by actor Shia LaBeouf at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 9th. Steven Speilberg directs this Lucas film in which Indiana Jones again ventures to the unknown. The adventure series which thrilled millions worldwide is being filmed at Hawaii and California. The final trailor and teaser for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was released in November 2007.

The cast includes Cate Blanchett as the leading lady opposite Indiana Jones, Ray Winstone as Jones's sidekick, Shia LaBeouf as a comic sidekick, Karen Allen as Marion Ravenwood from the first Jones film, Jim Broadbent as a professor, Igor Jijikine and John Hurt.

The 65-year-old Ford's spent three hours a day at the gym, and have a high-protein diet of fish and vegetables preparing for this role. Although Henry Jones, Sr. was in the original script, Sean Connery who is enjoying his retirement turned the film down. A rewrite was done to exclude the character from the film.

I always enjoyed the Indiana Jones movies. Till now, the first film in the series, The Raiders Of The Lost Ark remains my favorite. So, now the wait begins, for the latest installment of this series. I hope there will be a lot more exitements and thrills in the new movie. There are some fan made teasers on the net. Below is one such trailor that I found ok.

If Sean Connery can play in the league of extrodinary gentleman at his age. Harrison Ford will have no problem in the final Indiana Jones
