Inside of the home, an indoor motion sensor does a lot more then just deter possible intruders. A dark room invites a variety of obstacles including stubbing toes, knocking over drinks and more. These motion detector lights can instantly curb these occasional accidents. Even better, the motion detector lights can dramatically cut your energy bill.

Without indoor motion sensors, we never realize how useful they can be. Once you add a couple to a few rooms in your house, you'll wonder what you ever did without them. A motion sensor light is as easy to install as a light bulb in a socket. Plus, it is one that does not require the use of a light switch and is placed in a motion sensor that is already placed in the wall light socked. When you enter a room and trip the sensor, the motion light instantly illuminates the room so that you can walk through and when you leave, it goes off on its on.

Motion Sensor Lights Save Money

With a motion sensor light, you don't risk the constant increase of electricity usage that is created when a family member forgets to turn off the light. It goes on when someone is in the room, and off when the room is vacant. To save even more money you can use energy saving light bulbs, When combined these two can drastically cut your electricity bill. They are budget friendly because they are only in use when needed.

There are a variety of places that can benefit from a motion sensor light including the following.

  • Food Pantry
  • Garage
  • Laundry Rooms
  • Basement
  • Attic
  • More

How Is The Motion Sensor Installed

It's so simple to install motion detector lights. Instead of placing the lightbulb directly into the light socket, you instead place the motion sensor in its place. A light bulb is then tightened into the motion sensor socket. That's it.

The more you place around the house, the better use you will get out of them. In rooms such as a bedroom or a living room, it may not be as suitable because off waking up those sleeping when they turn in bed, or a light going off when it does not catch movement because of someone laying on the couch watching TV. Other then that, you can use them almost anywhere in the house.

It needs to be mentioned that these are not approved for outdoor use, they are not outdoor motion detector lights. For this purpose you will want to buy a Outdoor motion sensor that is especially designed to handle the changes in weather.

Some of these would definitely come in handy but I'm guessing the initial set-up costs would be fairly high.
