Indoor Propane Heater
82Summer and spring seasons are the best times to go out and engage in
fun activities like swimming, sports, and other activities to take
advantage of the hot sunny days. But once the fall and winter seasons
take place, most people end up staying home unless they want to have
fun in the snow. Still there will always be a time where you go home to
warm yourselves up, but that simply won't be possible without an indoor
propane heater.
What is a propane heater
Propane heaters can be found in many homes that experience the cold
seasons every year and you will mostly find families that are willing
to save electricity using them since these propane heaters do not
consume any electricity at all. They often come attached with small gas
tanks containing liquefied petroleum gas or LP gas in order for the
propane to generate heat right after they are lighted.
What is an indoor propane heater and what they can be used for
An indoor propane heater is one of the common types of heaters because
most families keep them inside. While they technically can be used
outdoors and near patios, these types of heaters are designed to be
most effective while placed in a room that lacks insulation.
Their advantages and disadvantages
Indoor propane heaters really get the job done in transforming cold and
chilly rooms into comfortable rooms at warm temperatures. All of that
is achieved through the use of propane and not electricity which is
considered a cheaper alternative. Electric heaters may seem like the
clear winner here, but heaters will be constantly used throughout the
winter causing a negative impact on the electric bill. Propane heaters,
on the other hand, do not affect the electric bill at all and indoor
wall heaters only make a slight impact. When it comes to overall usage,
you can enjoy more savings with indoor propane heaters.
Maintaining these indoor heaters require a few extra steps like
checking for any leaks and refilling the gas tank whenever needed.
However, propane heaters remain more dominant as the more eco-friendly
solution which is worth the costs.
The different brands, sizes and types
Three of the most popular brands regardless of the size you are looking
for are Mr. Heater, Empire, and Coleman. Coleman heaters are the brand
of choice for heaters that you want to take with you while Mr. Heater
is a good standard choice that offers small propane heaters as well as
some taller ones. Empire heaters are more expensive, but their wall
mounted indoor heaters have more temperature options and higher BTU
which means more area coverage.
How much they cost
The cost of these propane heaters vary depending on the one you are
looking for, but keep in mind that propane heaters are generally more
expensive than the electrical heaters. Portable propane heaters may
range from $70-$100 while bigger ones that are wall mounted can start
around $150-1000
Where to buy them and how to get a good deal
Get the best deals of these heaters in local stores if you are looking
for a single large device that can cool the entire room and neighboring
rooms. Otherwise, order the smaller ones online for decent savings.
