Werepoem

Infected by Mankind

April 2, 2008

Born a wolf in Washington

Enjoying the evergreens

Playing in the rain

My brothers and sisters join me too

My home so peaceful

Enjoying this day so much

That I did not hear

The pack's warning call

Too late ...

I am trapped

Something is around my neck

Constricting my breath

It begins to drag me away

Away from my home

Struggling with all my might

It turns

Inflicting ON ME

AN unbelievable EXCURCIATING pain

CONSUMES ME

Fear RUNS THROUGH ME

I can smell my own blood

Hurt and panicked

I lunged at it

Griping its paw

Yelling WITH WHAT I HOPE IS

A wound AS GREAT AS MINE

IT lets me go

CATCHING MY breath

It grabs FOR me again

Its blood dripping into mine

Struggling I get away

Unknowingly

I ran far, far away

Lost and lonely

Missing my family

I did what I had to

To survive

A month goes by

And I know...

I cannot go back now

It is much too late

I am afflicted

A thing of nightmares

Mothers use me

Scaring their pups

With my tale

I am a Werehuman
