What are Infrared Wraps?

An infrared body wrap is a device that is most commonly used by dayspas, medi-spas, and beauty salons to "body wrap" their customers. These infrared wraps are a little different than your traditional body wrapping because they have silicone bands that have the infrared heat within them. These bands are wrapped around the customer's thighs, hips stomach, arms and even chin and face.

The theory behind how these infrared wraps work similar to sitting in an infrared sauna. Infrared therapy has been known to help with the appearance of cellulite (basically it helps to smooth out cellulite), and also has been know n to burn hundreds of calories in one session.

Why use infrared wraps?

Not only do infrared wraps help to diminish the appearance of cellulite but they also burn calories as mentioned above. Having used an infrared wrap session, the heat that it creates while you are using the system will help increase a person's metabolism for the next 24 to 36 hours. So basically by using a session, it will help you burn calories not only while you are on the system, but it will help you burn calories for at least a day to a day and a half after you've used the session.

This is great for people who are using an infrared wrap system in conjunction with a healthy diet. It will certainly help your diet along.

Benefits of using these infrared body wrap systems are increased metabolism, weight loss, fat loss, body shaping and body contouring. One session in an infrared wrap can burn up to 1,000 calories.

Results are going to vary from person to person. A person who has more calories to burn off will certainly burn more calories during and after the session while a smaller person may not lose as many inches or lose as much weight.

Different Infrared Body Wrap Systems

The Formostar original infrared wraps mentioned above are the standard infrared body wrap systems being used by most businesses. There are two new systems for 2009 called Formostar Encore. One system called Formostar Encore Single has a single control unit and comes with 6 infrared body wrap pads. The control unit has 8 ports available for optional pads. The Single model includes 2 thigh pads, 2 hip/stomach pads, and 2 arm pads. A shoulder/back pad, chin pad, and feet pads are optional and would plug into the additional ports.

The second unit is the Formostar Encore Dual. The Dual model comes has the one control unit but comes with two 8 port plug in boxes. This gives you the ability to run two separate sessions or treatment from the one unit. The Dual comes with 12 infrared body wrap pads: 4 thigh pads, 4 hip/stomach pads, and 4 arm pads. The pad plug-in boxes come with 18 foot cords so that you can operate the two separate treatments either in the same room or two completely separate rooms.

The Dual Infrared Body Wrap works well for busier salons or spas that might need the extra sessions during the busy times of the day.

Formostar Encore Added Features
