A good inground swimming pool filter can be cheap and effective. It will be able to clean your pool reliably and thoroughly. Often the more pricey ones are not worth the cost. Owning a pool is a true joy that provides good family fun during the summer. An inground one is nice because you can swim in a very aesthetically pleasing body of water. However, algae and debris build up over time and can become a health hazard. It is very necessary to purchase a filter to properly maintain an inground swimming pool. Not doing so could lead to damage, risks to people’s health and not to mention the eyesore of a dirty pool.

An inground swimming pool differs in a few ways from a normal one. Although significantly more expensive, they are often better quality. Many of the cheap pools built today are of poor quality. Buying the right filter can take a good amount of time researching online but it is well worth the effort. Pool filters vary in price and in power. However, some expensive ones that claim they have good technology are overrated and overpriced. Likewise, some cheap inground swimming pool filters actually offer good value. Be sure to look at reviews of other swimming pool owners (ideally ones that own inground ones) to compare and contrast them. Their experiences will probably mirror your own. One has to do proper research online to determine the right filter for them.

There are several types of filtration methods. The options most popular are Sand, Cartridge and Diatomaceous Earth. You are probably most familiar with the cartridge system, which utilizes a cartridge that filters out toxins and gunk. These cartridges must be regularly replaced but there are a few that are designed to last several years. Sand is cheap but unfortunately not very effective. It uses sand as the filtration medium but particles that are smaller than a grain of sand can get through. This is not a good idea because inground swimming pools tend to get quite dirty, and many of these substances are microscopic.

Owning a pool provides many benefits that one cannot ignore. However, to provide clean fun it needs to be properly maintained. No one likes swimming in a dirty inground pool. Your pool properly represents a significant financial investment so it doesn’t make much sense to be cheap. Spend the effort on finding the right inground swimming pool filter for your household.
