You do not need a reason to forgive. We are all subject to hurt throughout our life and sometimes it is difficult to overcome. It takes courage and pride. If we want to live a joyful life then we must forget the past, live for today, choose happiness and forgive unconditionally.

If one stays focused and alert, one could apply most of them to one's life, except possibly the ones on loving/praying and even unconditionally forgiving those three or four turncoats who showed their true colors at a time when one was down and out? I understand the concept, but how does one forgive such persons and even pray for them?
Jaspal - in order to connect with your source (God) you must emulate him or try to as close as you can to be like him. If he gives you forgiveness and loves you unconditionally and you came from that source then we have part of him in us. I am sure we disappoint our source and act rudely but I believe if you repent you will be forgiven and loved without constraints..
