There are many different types of metal roof styles available today. One of the more durable is the stone covered steel roofing systems that are available. Yes, these do cost more than a traditional roof. But why?

1- Lifetime warranty. These roofs will last 50 years or more. This is 2-3 times longer than a traditional roof. How long do you plan on staying in your home?

2- Durability. If you live in an area that is often hit by hail storms you might want to consider this type of roof. It can survive 2-1/2" hailstones

3- Environmentally friendlier than traditional roofing

4- More energy efficient

I agree with you, Metal roofing is the way to go.
