The cut out for the lights will be around the wiring. To cut out the shape of the lighting fixture, use a pencil and trace the outside of the fixture. With the utility knife or drywall cutter, begin cutting the place where the hole will go. Now, insert the wiring which will be connected to the fixture’s junction box. It is important that the black wire goes with the black wire. Do not cross the wire colors. If there is a green or ground wire, please match these wires together as well. Now, insert the lighting fixture into the ceiling.
