Insult to the nation
It has been a shocking and embarrassing news for all the indians that former President Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam was treated like a common man as he was frisked by the Continental Airlines staff at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. The worst thing is that it happened at the Indian Capital and not abroad. This is a shame for all the Indians.
Dr. Kalam is not only a former president, but also to my knowledge and beleif he is the most renowned at international level and the most loved one as well. If the Contintenal Airlines staff cannot recognize a person like him, then they dont have the right to operate in India. The Country Director of Contintental Airlines says " This security check is followed by all carriers flying to the U.S from most of the countries in the world, and there is no excemption to this rule." This clearly underlines that there is no respect whatsoever from them for the former president. India should have withdrawn the airline's permission to operate in India with immediate effect. But I seroiusly doubt Indian Ministry's guts to do so. Instead they have filed a case whose maximum penalty is only US $ 20,000/- What a Shame!!!
We can simply imagine what United States would have done if the same thing happened to Mr. Bush or Mr. Obama in India. Its a big joke that India is the next super power in the world with a pack of jokers and some one like Praful Patel leading it. We need somebody with a backbone to lead us and prove our mettle to the world. India should have made the most of this opportunity to prove the guts by taking a bold decision.
Lets hope this is not again a storm in the teacup.

Serious action should be taken for such disrespect,their license to operate in India should be cancelled, they cannot take us for granted.
Although I am a Pakistani, but I strongly support the views. Poeple from the 3rd world countries are treated inhumanely by many of the so called developed countries. We need to sort the differences and be united. We do not want to be the weapons testing ground for the super powers.

A shameful act. Continental should be banned at least till a verdict comes out.
