Intense... A FANTASY Poem...

~He could maintain himself quite well...

He could make the strongest men quiver with fear, and the least vulnerable women melt like ice...

His eyes burnt of wildfire; His lips were of perfect diabolic satisfaction. His words were urbane, yet erotic and lustful...

He moved with ease, yet nervous as a lion. A stranger, but so familiar to his surroundings...

The thought of him makes me tremble with aspiration...

His outlook on existance is incredible- His life is unrestricted- Free indeed...

Being his lover is like immortal life within itself; Like a single frail leaf, floating in the wind; Like a Heritage Softail in the depths of twilight on an odyssey into the unknown- Exciting, stimulating, exotic... Yet relaxing.

He completes my journey, eases my tension. He is my every fantasy, dream come true...

With his content, I shall never abandon him. I am at his side until eternity befalls me.

My endless love for him is perpetual- everlasting...

His exceptional posture, his soft, dark hair, his superior way of speaking, his significant way of protecting... He strikes me as impressive, remarkable...

He has a majestic, commanding way of touching. He has wit, and is irony in his way with sarcasm...

The illusion of togetherness is immense. My longing for him is unbelievable; There is no way of explaining the quantity...

My cry to rid my modest, outspoken ways is deafening inside my unarrogant mind. My desire to speak my affection is stressful. I want so badly to be able to tell him my intention...

The attachment I feel, the devotion I embrace, the love I am aware of, and am sure of... Nothing of the crafty, shrewd mind games of others... No crippled emotions or camlaflaged trepidation.

My words are as pure as it gets- I am sincere, heartfelt, honest and true as I can be.

When it comes to him, I walk open-eyed and aware- Ready to accomplish any obsticle...

I'll go to the end of time with him by my side...

Forever- Unconditionally- Without any doubt what-so-ever, with pure love, and pure trust.

LUST- A FANTASY Poem:

Even strongly set in her convictions, she willingly gave into him.

The magnetism between them was obvious. She couldn't deny him now.

Their lips lingered momentarily until their resistance disappeared instantly. His hands roamed fearlessly, her emotions caught fire perfectly.  Within seconds, their bodies were one, moving in rhythm with the moon and the sun.

Holding nothing back, they danced. Her passion, her lust, her desire enhanced. Surfacing satisfaction, insanity erupted- Pure madness, complete numbness...

His expression was entire approval- Her mind was in a bewildered upheaval. Pure love, and pure lust, whichever it may be- each other is all they could see.

She held the moment as long as possible, for they knew they could lose it all... Tomorrow they would temporarily seperate, and be brought back together only by fate...

I am There With You... A Poem to My Babies

You are my world, and I am but a moon that encircles you-

I am the stars that shine down on you when you look up in search of me-

I am the galaxy in which you live-

The constellations are the dreams in which I send to you every night as I watch you sleep silently and peacefully-

The rain which falls down upon your face, is the tears I cry because I can't be there with you-

When the sun warms you, it is my sending you my happiness and hopes to see you soon-

The rivers that rage endlessly, is my love for you- Everchanging, yet knowing no obstacles-

I am your universe-

I am your eternity-

Your Forever-

Unconditionally & Always...

Hope you had a happy holiday, and that your family gathering was greeting card perfect. But perhaps after a few too many baby-induced wake ups and boozy political arguments, you got a little anxious to leave?

  • Books: "If I Were Another"The New Yorker3 hours ago

No poet is as closely associated with contemporary Palestinian identity as Darwish, who died in 2008, but, as this superbly translated selection of poems proves, the work resists classification, ranging over such themes as memory, inheritance, and exile. Landscape, the celebration of it and the longing for it, is evoked . . .

Thank you so much! These are actually poems I wrote about 7 years ago... But I liked them enough to not crumple them all up, and toss them! I honestly never read "This is my Beloved", but now I have a reason to do so! Thanks again maven101!

I love the contrasts in your first poem. And really nice imagery too. I'm not usually into free verse poetry but I really like the way you describe your perfect man. In many ways, it has always been a mystery to me the particular things about a man that a woman really admires. I love your descriptions of him. They're very vivid and the beauty of how you describe it makes me want to be a better man myself.

I also think the opening line of your second poem is really powerful. And the whole thing is definitely heartwarming, especially for us who want to be parents someday :) I look forward to being able to write poems for my children.

I have to be in the "right" mood to write poetry... Sometimes I just think of the first line, and the rest just flows out without a thought... Those are the ones I especially enjoy... Other times, I need a thesaurus and dictionary right next to me... LOL

In love the key is to blend tenderness with passion. Your poems are the successful examples.
