Mr. and Mrs Rose Calling Before my Adoption!
Mr and Mrs. Rose Met in US History Class out of High School. They got married and had 4 boys. Mr. Rose was a carpender by trade. They had never been to church unless it was Easter or Christmas. Mr and Mrs. Rose parents believed in God but didn't attend church or consider themselves religious.
Mr. Rose drank alot on the weekend. Mrs. Rose stayed busy chasing 4 small boys around the house. Life was going as well as it could a young couple in thier mid 20's.
The boys started to go to junior church. Mr. Fleener the bus driver came every Sunday morning to pick up the boys for junior church. Mrs. Rose decided to start attending church with her boys. Through attending junior church with her boys Mrs. Rose got saved ( asked Jesus to be her personal Saviour and confessed her sins.) She would ask Mr. Rose every Sunday to attend church and he would say NO.
Mr. Rose started resenting the fact the she left the house to go to church on Sundays. Mrs. Rose stopped going dancing. Mr. Rose was not happy about that. He threaten to leave her. The Change in her life was causing problems.
Mr. Rose worked in construction. He met a young Christian guy who would tell him about God. He was hanging out at his mom when his younger brothers was getting a hair cut. The barber was a preacher from a nearby church. Once again he was hearing about God! It was hitting him from all directions!
Every Sunday Mrs. Rose would ask him, " Do you want to go to Church?" He would say," NO". He doesn't know why but one Sunday in Augest he said, "Yes". He got saved that Sunday. It had changed his life!
Mr. and Mrs. Rose wanted to do something for God. They went to Corpas Christi, Texas the next summer and worked on a mission station for a couple of months. They came back and wanted to do more for God. They talked to their church about going to Bible College. There Church had a couple Nazarrene Colleges they could chose from. They heard about Hobe Sound, Fl. and felt like that is where God wanted them to go. The Nazzerene Church said, " They wouldn't support them unless they went to a Nazzerene Bible College". This was a very hard decision they felt God wanted them in Florida. They left for Hobe Sound Florida.
They had been there for 2 weeks and Mr. Rose couldn't find a place to live. They had a family of 6. They had sold there dream home when they moved. They were discouraged. That after Mr. Rose was praying and asked God if he had missed it. Maybe this was not where God wanted him at. He said, " Hon, I missed it! Start packing. He got done praying when " a man" ( Mr. Fredrick) knocked on the door and said, " God Told me you needed help"! They had never met this man before.
They ended up in Papua New Guinea 2 years later! I became a part to their life 3 years later!
I have heard this story from my parent many times growing up. What a chain of events that only God could construct in his great big MASTER PLAN! 4 Differet people in the Roses lives that had a huge impack on mine. THE BUS DRIVER, THE CARPENDER, THE BARBER AND "THE MAN" THAT GOD HAD SENT"

The Calling in the News
- Missing text can contain the true messageSydney Morning Herald11 hours ago
It was a lazy kind of day. A friend was over at his mother-in-law's at the weekend. He'd taken his young family with him and the children were playing with their doting grandmother. From a few metres away, where he was engaged in something else, he overheard her saying: "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, catch a nigger by the toe, when he squeals let him go, eeny, meeny, miny, moe."

- The Year in Film - 2009filmcritic.com10 hours ago
Farewell, 2009. You won't be missed. Not only did the economy fail to generate much enthusiasm this year, neither did the movies. In fact, with a single exception, I'm hard-pressed to name a single film released in 2009 that I got genuinely, unreservedly excited about.
