Internet marketing is what?
Internet marketing is, pure and simple, the conglomeration of tools and techniques that are used by marketers and sellers to try and promote a product or service on the Internet.
Internet marketing, however, involves a myriad of marketing techniques, many of them specific to the Internet medium.
Internet marketers know that this is not just a question of sticking up a website and then twiddling your thumbs.
It is hard.
It is hard partly because Internet marketing encompasses, or can encompass, blogging (adding constant and fresh content to a website), article submission to article websites that then permit other Internet marketers to take your article (complete with link to your main site) and put it on their own website, social marketing, forum posting, list building, and SEO optimization.
In short, if you want to make money on the Internet it can be done; but Internet marketing is a world unto itself -- so be prepared for a steep learning curve...
