Every one needs guidance. As an internet marketer you need to educate yourself as to what really works and what's just a bunch of hooey.

One of my favorite "gurus" is Mike Filsaime. The reason being I remeber him from a few years ago when he was ripped off by a marketer from Singapore and he very publicly responded to this event.

I believe he purchased the supposedly limited edition master rights to a product this marketer was selling but was disturbed to find that this marketer then went on to sell many more rights to this product than he posted on his sales letter.

Mike pursued this marketer and I'm pretty sure he got his retribution.

Internet marketing is a great way to start earning extra cash in your spare time.

When considering an online venture, for newbies and old pros alike, resale rights are an incredibly cost and time efficient way to get started.

They are one of the best ideas to ever be conceived for Internet marketing and many thousands of people have made a small fortune and continue to make a good living from resell rights.

There are two basic ways to make money with resell rights:

1. You can buy resell rights to someone else's product which will give you the right to sell it and keep 100% of the profits.

2. You can sell resell rights to one of your own products to others who want to have rights and keep 100% of the profits.

With that said here are the reasons resell rights are such a good idea.

First, if you have no time, experience, are too lazy to create your own product or simply want to get started with making money on the internet as soon as humanly possible you can simply buy resell rights to an existing product (which will usually come with an already made sales letter and graphics), upload the product to your site and voila! You've got your own online business!

Buying resell rights allows a person to literally start their own online business in less than a day...in fact, for those with the right skill set it can take as little as an hour!

All the big names in Internet Marketing make big bucks selling high ticket items. $97 e-books, $197 software and even $997 DVD courses. Unfortunately, unless you are already an expert you probably don't have the experience and knowledge to create such high priced products.

But when you purchase resell rights to one of these products you have an instant business with a high profit margin.

Second, if you have already created your own product selling resell rights can be even more profitable than buying them!

Because resell rights are the absolute easiest and fastest way to start an online business, a lot of people are buying resell rights.

In fact, most people that buy resell rights usually buy resell rights to more than one product. Instead of buying the rights to just one product and setting up one online business, why not buy a whole bunch and set up a lot of businesses?

And that is exactly what a lot of people that buy resell rights do.

So we have established that resell rights are a hot commodity and a lot of people are looking to buy them. That's one reason to start selling resell rights.

But the main reason why selling resell rights to your own products is so advantageous is because of the profit margin.

You can sell resell rights for anywhere from just $10 to $1,000 or more! It's a great way to make a lot of money fast.

The Master Resell Rights can either be bundled together with the purchase of the product or purchased separately from the product. Master rights are great when used as an upsell!

• Private Label Rights This is the grand daddy of all resell rights! Buying Private Label Rights usually give you the right to change the product in any way you like, put your own name on it, sell resell rights or even master resell rights to others and basically use and treat the product as it were your own creation.

• Give Away Rights You can give the product away for free. In most cases, however, you cannot resell and/or edit it.

• Royalty Rights You have to pay the original product author or franchisor a percentage of every sales made by you. This right normally applies to physical products. McDonald's and books found in bookstores are very good examples that demonstrate this right.

As with any purchase, always read the resell rights agreement as put forth by the seller before buying any rights package because they may have specific rules for the selling of their product.

If you hope to make money with Internet Marketing then you probably know that the one thing you need the most is potential customers. You need as many people as possible to stop by your sites and to see your products and/or services. The bottom line is: The more traffic you get to your site, the more potential you have to make money. And one of the best ways to get more traffic is to use social sites.

Social sites are great for many reasons. Many social sites rank very well in search engines, they are easy and fast to use, and they are frequented by millions of people every single day. So the potential is certainly there for you to draw a lot of potential customers to your products and/or services without expending too much time or money.

But how exactly do you use these social sites to your advantage and what are some of the best social sites on the Internet? Well, you’re about to be told the answers to both of these questions.

The number one thing to remember with social sites is that effort is your key to success. With social sites it is not a case of “build it and they will come”. You need to build your social site and then work to get people to come to it.

The first thing you need to do is update your content regularly. This will make your site fresh and new for visitors no matter how often they visit your site.

The next thing you want to do is try to get other people to become your friend on the site. This will basically create a list on the social site that you can send messages to whenever you want.

Finally, you want to view other users’ sites and make comments on their posts and their site. This will help you gain that person as a visitor to your site as well as all the other people who might visit that person’s site.

The one word of caution you need to remember with social sites is not to SPAM anyone on the site. It will turn people off from all your posts and your site. Worse yet, SPAMMING people may get you kicked off the site and banned for life.

Of course MySpace and FaceBook are two of the biggest social sites right now. However, there are many other great sites you can join. These sites include (but aren’t limited to): Blogger, Classmates Online, WetPaint, Xanga, AOL Hometown, and MSN Spaces.

To begin, choose the site that most appeals to you and make a page that’s in your niche. Build this page with great content and then spend time on the site attracting other people. Once you begin to get visitors, move on to another site and create another page. However, make sure you don’t forget about the first site. Always put new content on it.

If you put in the work and build great pages, you will notice that you increase the number of potential customers who will buy your products and/or services.

As an internet marketer I'm always looking for new ways to build my opt-in lists of targeted prospects. These are people who are interested in what I'm offering as far as information on a certain topic.

Being in the IM field has its advantages because there are usually a lot of giveaway events going on throughout the year. These events are list building co-ops where a group of contributors get together and each offers one or more of their products for free to people who join as members.

As members join the event they must give their name and email address to each contributor whose product they choose to download. All products are, of course, free except for the information the members leave.

This is an awesome way for smaller marketers with a limited advertising budget to attract more traffic and gain more list members of their own. As more and more contributors join the event, they build more exposure.

There is no free ride though. As a contributor you MUST meet minimum requirements on unique visitors sent to the event. These are usually set to a reasonable level that even the marketer on the strictest budget can reach.

Also, it's highly recommended that you contribute a good product that's unique in order to attract the most prospects.

If you're new to internet marketing and are looking to get high quality products for free these events are perfect for you because you can get a LOT of good stuff fast.

Likewise, if you've been at it for awhile and are looking to expand your reach and lists these events are a perfect way to build them!
