Internet Marketing Seminars-My weekend with Ambrose and Wellman
56Marketing Seminars. Hype or True Value?
I've heard it said by a number of marketers that Internet Marketing Seminars are simply another way to sell over-priced hyped up products or services to a worked up captive audience, but I've also heard others say that attending marketing seminars is the best thing they could have done for their business career.
I would have to agree with the latter part of that statement, and I'll tell you why.
First off, I want to tell you that I worked HARD to get to that seminar in Atlanta. My passport application was still sitting incomplete on my home office desk when I got the email from Keith Wellman about the short notice gathering, and I knew right away that if I really wanted to go that the odds were against me.
Since the 9/11 tragedy, and the requirements for all Canadians looking to fly into the US, getting a passport in Canada has been a time consuming effort. Long lineups, and the possiblity of delays in processing left me wondering if I even had a chance at all.
After talking it over with my "Better Half", and on checking the possible travel costs, we decided there was room for not only myself, but to also include my wife on the trip.
Getting my passport within the two weeks was a miracle, but proved to me at least that I was meant to go to Atlanta.
I love air travel by the way, and was like a little kid with my face pressed close to the window watching the ground fall away.
I had messaged another well known marketer, Robert Puddy, in his Marketing Know-How Forum, that I too was going to Atlanta and would gladly take him up on his offer of meeting for a coffee at the seminar, and sure enough..that first morning while getting breakfast we had the honor of his company.
That first portion of the seminar was SO good, that I immediately wrote a short testimonial for Keith to let them know that already I felt that I had received full measure for the costs of my travel, and still had another day and a half to go!
To shorten the story somewhat, I'd just have to say that things just kept getting better. The content was terrific, and I met a good number of people that I'm sure will be remembered and perhaps even play a role in my Marketing efforts down the road. My Business was DEFINITELY given a huge boost by going to Atlanta.
And to end this story, and to indicate the value I placed on my time in Atlanta, I decided to sign up for a special training seminar that Gary Ambrose and Keith Wellman will be running the last weekend in March, so Atlanta, HERE I COME!
(P.S. - I'll be able to post to my BLOG directly from my room now too because I won a LapTop Computer while I was there!)

Hi Tim,
Well what a time you seemed to have and the cherry on the top a laptop how wonderful.
I am so excited to hear that it was an excellent conference and that you are going back for another.
My possible selfish reasoning is that all will be implemented to helping us agents reach even further in Success Patrol.
Thank you so much for attending.
Diana
Dear Tim,
You certainly passed onto us the great time you had and the knowledge that you gained from your experience in Atlanta, and what a buzz for you to win that lap top. I know that all members of Success Patrol, will gain enormously from your experience.
Thankyou for sharing and look forward to learning more from your next conference you attend.
We are blessed to have a CEO such as yourself who is willing to go that extra mile to help his members.

I hope to catch you at the next one in Atlanta....

Hi Tim, I can already feel the enthusiasm and positive benefits you received from your trip to Atlanta in this article. You are an excellent example of the statement I recently made in one of my hubs which goes "Success comes to those who diligently seek it". Tim you are the seeker and I can hardly wait to see the end results and how you will apply what you've learned from this seminar. Good article and great pictures Tim!

Hi Tim:
The look of total happiness on your face in all of these pictures says so much about your trip to Atlanta and it sure sounds like an adventure.
I am curious though, of all the speakers there, did any one of them make a lasting impression on you? Did you learn anything new? Can the everyday person apply any of these seminars to their marketing on line efforts?
I would be interested in your thoughts and viewpoints.
To Your Success
Diane
