Internet Network Marketing - How It Improves Your Offline Prospecting

Ann Sieg, author of The Renegade Network Marketer, teaches online attraction marketing. As taught by Mike Klingler at the Renegade University, online attraction marketing, among other things, consists of Squidoo lenses, HubPages, blog articles, YouTube videos, ezine articles, social marketing sites like Facebook and MySpace, and social bookmarking sites like Delicious, Stumble Upon, Digg, Furl, and Twitter which all together have the function of positioning you as the expert, the authority, and the leader. All this web of content drives prospects to your lead capture pages and when the time is right, the prospects will seek you out for your network marketing program. Most of this effort happens online but not so obvious is that this internet network marketing activity also helps your offline prospecting efforts.

With your web of content running your online prospecting system there will still be times that you will prospect someone that you meet offline, that is, in real life. You may no longer be using the 3-foot rule to contact strangers anymore but there will be times that you meet someone who is obviously looking for a change in their life and has the drive to be an entrepreneur and you just want to help them out and talk to them about your business. Because you have your online system monetizing your lead generation process (you can read about this in my article on The Renegade Network Marketer and Monetization) you are no longer in a desperation mode like a lot of offline network marketers so your attitude is different when you talk to prospects. You don't need to sponsor them. You have learned leadership skills by setting up your system and teaching others to do the same. You are better at building relationships as that is what you have been doing online. The whole dynamic will be different when you speak to a prospect that you have met for the first time. Your posture and attitude will actually attract the prospect as they need you more than they need you. And because of this abundance mentality you are able to walk away if the prospect doesn't qualify.

Having your internet front-end (and back-end) system also makes your 2 minute commercial or elevator pitch much simpler and much more attractive. When somebody asks you what you do, you no longer have to say, "I am a Health and Wellness Coach and business entrepreneur. My products cures cancer, eliminates the heartbreak of psoriasis, re-grows hair, gets rid of bad breath, eradicates acne, makes your skin look 10 years younger, helps the blind to see and the lame walk, and eliminates world hunger." People can feel the hype and artificialness even if you don't go to this extreme. What I say now is "I have an internet marketing business" and most of the time, people want to hear more. I feel a lot more comfortable saying that as it is the truth and the way it comes out of my mouth, the prospect can hear the conviction in my voice. There is also the "coolness" factor of having an internet business. I don't get the response "Is this one of those deals?" anymore. And it also works well with friends and relatives as it isn't beyond their realm of belief that you started an internet marketing business in the last few months. Once I explain to my friends and relatives and new prospects what I am doing, they can picture themselves doing this type of business. This is much different from their image of the old school way of building a network marketing business which they envision as dragging big boxes of soap and going door to door. Building your business the internet network marketing way, as opposed to the old school way, is so much more fun. Internet network marketing allows you to merge the online and offline world and improve both sides.

I quit my first network marketing business over 10 years ago without making any money because I was told the 7 great lies of network marketing. I would not have gotten back in to network marketing if I hadn't first read Ann Sieg's The Renegade Network Marketer. If you haven't read the 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing and the Renegade Network Marketer, you should as they will revolutionize your business.

C Doug Mah is an internet network marketing coach whose goal is to teach independent business owners how to use attraction marketing and Web 2.0+ technologies to grow their businesses profitably. Going beyond the old school techniques that are still being taught by some network marketing and MLM organizations, these techniques drive pre-qualified prospects to your business, allowing you to spend more time in business building and training instead of prospecting and recruiting.
