56When using the internet to find a partner, one must have patients. You can not expect to find the love of your life in a short, 2 week span, or even a couple of months. Yes it can happen that way, but don't rush in to things. Take your time, make sure the one you choose it the right one for you. Don't settle because you are lonely, or because you haven't had a partner in months or years. In my own experience, it took years to meet the love of my life. In fact I had forgotten I even had an ad on a dating site. Out of the blue I got an email and things progressed from there. I certainly kissed a lot of frogs in my day, but I am glad I did not rush in to marriage with any of my old flings.
If you can take your time and make good choices, you will do just fine.

That's a good point about taking some time. I think it's important to take your time and perhaps sign up with a few dating sites rather than just one in order to spread the odds of finding someone you can partner with comfortably.
