Internet Marketing Is Like Growing A Garden

Planting Good "Seeds" For Your Internet Marketing Business
Today I'm sitting in my favorite spot in the whole world...in my backyard by the pool. I know it may sound strange, most people would rather be on a beach in Hawaii or on a far away mountaintop...not me. I'm happy as a clam sitting in my yard enjoying the beauty of my garden surroundings. I can hear the water fountain from the pool, the birds are singing all around me, and I am surrounded by a lush array of plants and flowers. It actually feels like I'm on a tropical island somewhere. This is my favorite spot during the hectic work week and is where I enjoy my quiet time of reflection and relaxation (and my work).
Why am I sharing this with you?
Well, as I was sitting here looking around and taking in all of the beautiful sites, sounds and smells of my backyard, I started thinking about what it looked like a year and even several years ago. Quite frankly, it wasn't a pretty sight. We didn't have the pool with the fountain and the yard and hillside were bare, literally dirt and weeds everywhere.
So the process began and I started planting seeds, bulbs, ground cover; and I planted trees, shrubs and annuals as well. With some I got instant gratification such as with the trees, shrubs and annuals. With others, such as the seeds, bulbs and ground cover I received a delayed gratification. You see, I planted some of those months ago and even a full year ago and I am just now seeing the fruits of my labor.
So what does all of this have to do with an Internet marketing business or any business for that matter?
Well believe it or not they are very similar. Just like my yard that was bare a few years ago, so is a brand new network marketing business. When you first start out with your business you have nothing but dirt. In order to begin the process of having a beautiful lush garden, you must first begin the process of sowing seeds, bulbs, plants and trees.
Just like growing a garden, your network marketing business will grow according to the effort and care that you give it...and of course the "seeds" that you sow. It is always a work in progress because some seeds will take and produce beauty and others won't. For the one's that don't produce you find another seed (or bulb, plant or tree) to sow in it's place until you have found the one that produces your desired results.
Once you have done your initial planting the other major component to growing a healthy and beautiful garden is water. Without proper watering your plants will surely die and the seeds that you sowed will never sprout and grow. Building a business, in the same way, will never produce anything substantial and will eventually die if it isn't "watered" properly. It is important to consistently nourish your business in order for it to continue to grow. You can't do just one or two things one time and then walk away from it. Similarly, you can't just sow the seeds or put a plant in the ground and then leave it. Once you've put it in the dirt, you must water it on a consistent and regular basis in order for it to take root and flourish.
Another thing about planting a garden is learning what exactly to do to insure that you have the best possible short and long-term results. Reading books, researching and talking to other gardeners helped me along the way. I learned about the types of plants that will work best in my yard and I continue to learn more everyday. In the same way, it is important to connect with people and resources that can provide you with the information, knowledge, and skills that you will need to grow you're network marketing business.
The key element in any endeavour, whether you're growing a garden or trying to build a successful internet business, with the least amount of effort and time; is education. Well...education and implementation.
You see, it does no good to learn about something and then not act on that knowledge...you must implement what you've learned or the education itself was a waste of your time. It does no good to research and learn about the best plants that will work in your yard and then not actually put them in your yard. You'll only spend tons of time and money on plants that aren't going to provide you with the results you're looking for because you didn't take the education and implement it.
If you want your internet marketing business to flourish beginning today and continuing for many tomorrows; I suggest that you spend some time learning how to sow the most successful network marketing seeds. Learn more here.
