A lot of people that start into internet marketing realize that they are going to need traffic to send to there sites and affiliate links in order to start making money. And one of the best sources of quality traffic can be acquired by purchasing clicks from Google Adwords. What makes the traffic that you buy from Google so good is the fact that in order to be able to afford there traffic, you have to have your Adwords campaign optimized to maintain a high relevance to the page that you are sending the traffic to.
The trouble for people new to using Google Adwords is that there is a certain amount of complexity in proper use of there system. It is almost a guarantee that someone new to Adwords is going to lose a fair amount of money until they figure out what they have to do in order to run a cost effective campaign.
The three main factors that you have to keep in mind when building a campaign is to have some idea as to what your conversion rates are for your product or service, you need your sales page optimized for the keywords your going to be using in your campaigns . And you also have to make sure you’re using the right keywords. This last point is extremely important; there are a number of things to consider when choosing your keywords for your campaign. This is one of the main deciding factors in running a successful Google Adwords campaign.
When deciding on your keywords for your campaign you have to concentrate on longtail terms, these terms as a rule have the least competition; you need to find keyword phrases that have a good amount of search volume. It is also good if you know what your click through rate (CTR) is, but you usually don’t know this until your campaign is up and running. Also another thing you need to know and this is really important, and most marketers using Adwords don’t check for, is the amount of commercial intention a keyword phrase has.
Commercial intention is how likely someone will purchase the product your trying to sell. You could buy keywords from Google Adwords that have a great (CTR) and give you a very low conversion rate. MSN has a great free tool that will allow you to check the commercial intention of any keyword or phrase. All the factors mentioned above can dramatically affect how cost effective your campaign will be.
Something else to consider when running an Adwords campaign is not to get too caught up with just using the Google search network. A lot of marketers will tell you to only use the search network and not to use the content network. But recently Google has made some changes to the Adwords system; one of those changes was with how the content network works. You can now use the content network to get traffic for as little as one cent a click, and in my opinion is more targeted then the traffic I was getting from the search network. The reason for this is because now you can pick and choose which sites will show your ads. The great thing about all this is the fact that not many people are taking advantage of this situation right now. A free course on internet marketing
