Job Interview Tips and Tricks
86Job Interviews for Success
I have never been with out a job since finding my first job out of college. Interviewing is a job and its not easy but hopefully with some of my tips and some of my tricks I can help you find the job of your dreams and one that will make you a lot of money. I have gotten almost every job I have tried for, I even got a job from a phone interview. I think the main ingredient is confidence and a little of being at the right place tat the right time. If you do not have the qualifications to get the job don't even bother doing the interview because you will just be wasting the time of you and the interviewer. Make sure you qualify and if you do have all the confidence in the world because if you do you will get the job. Its really that easy having confidence is easy if you know you can do the work. When I was a Junior and Senior I discovered a lot of good tricks and I learned how to do a good interview. I am sharing these tricks with you in hopes that you can get the job. Just remember if you feel confident you can do the job make sure the person giving you the interview knows it and the Job will be yours for the taking.
Look the Part
Have a job get a better Job
Not having a job can really hurt you when Interviewing for a job. If you don't have a job get a job any job and you will have a great chance of getting a better job. No one wants to hire someone that looking for a job and not doing anything but looking for a job. When your down on your luck nobody wants you. Just get a job even if its beneath you, cause you get lots of points when you already a have a job. They will want you a lot more if they really don't need them. Them that has not gets not and the haves have. I know it might not make sense but always seems to be true.
How you Dress Equals Success
First impressions are everything and how you dress might not get you the job but will definitely cause you not to get he job. If this is any kind of professional Job you need to wear a suit and tie for your all your interviews. I recommend a Navy Blue suit or a Dark Blue Suit. Also make sure your suit and pants fit properly, too small of a suit and you'll look sloppy, too big of suit and you will look like a gangster
If this is a out door job, where a nice pair of casual slacks and nice button up shirt. Even if you are going to where jeans on the job you need to step it up some to get the job. Jeans means you not serious and too dressed up and they will think you came for the wrong job.
The main thing here is to dress a bit nicer than you would if you were going to work there and if you dress correctly you will feel more confident and it will show when your interviewing.
You Need me I don't need you
When you interview have the attitude that they really need you but you really don't need them. Act like you are interested in the job but that you really don't care if they want you, but that they need you. Make them feel this is a great job but you that they are just one of the many great jobs you are deciding on. You really have to feel this way for them to believe you because they can tell by your body language if you really feel this way or not. If you really don't care for the job or the company don't waste your time or there's interviewing for the job. Unless you feel you need some practice you can act freely and experiment.
Research and Know who Your talking too
If you do not know any thing about this company find out something before you interview with them. Do some research on the Internet and find out whats new with this company and look for ways you feel you can help them achieve their goals. Look for the latest press release and be aware of any new products. Also look for them on news and blogs and if something comes up during the interview give your two cents and the will be impressed that you know whats going on in their company.
On time is too late, be 10 minutes early
Timing is very important when interviewing, just in time means you just barely made it, 1 hour early and you look desperate. 10 minutes early is good timing, your not too early and you not late that's the ticket. If your late you better be the only one looking for that job because you probably already blew the job. The employers is going to figure if your late to the interview you will be late to the job everyday if you 10 minutes early then you be at work early.
