What Are You Waiting For? Don't Just Sit There

I see a bright future with MonkeyJar. Come join my troop.
I see a bright future with MonkeyJar. Come join my troop.

You are Invited to Join My MonkeyJar

Dear Hubbers ~

Come into the forest and climb up a tree. There is some 'Green' up here from this vantage point, you'll see. Go to My MonkeyJar now!

* * * * * * * * * *

This is your formal invitation to join a new innovative affiliate marketing program at the ground level. There are only a thousand or so people who have gotten involved with this program so far. MonkeyJar is probably less than a year old and maybe a year in the development stages. I know it will get better and better as Monkeys give feedback on the system.

It must have taken the originators an intense amount of sales effort to have gathered 1500 different vendors to participate in this venture! You can also make a suggestion for them to add your favorite stores.

In a way, I think of it like those maketing coupon books that everyone purchases every year. The difference is you do not have to purchase anything to get started. Basically, you join someone's shopping mall and visit their website whenever you plan to make an online purchase.

Alternatively, you can join [hint, hint!] their tree to become part of their 'troop.' Then when you make a purchase a small percentage goes into the troop account. You make a little 'pin' money for a rainy day. And, hey, it is raining cats and dogs out there right now and I don't see it letting up any time soon!

The more people in your troop, the more potential to earn money. The cents add up over time. It makes sense to join and invite your friends. The store is open 24/7. When you click on the store button you go directly to the regular online storefront. Too easy!

Remember it's so easy to register and join my site. Then you can create your own Shopping Mall and invite friends. When you get started , you can choose to select which stores you like. I decided to list all the stores that are available. Whenever you want to make a purchase, select the store on the MonkeyJar homeopage and you go right to the store and listen to the sound of tinkling coins dropping from heaven.

The neat thing about this way of shopping is that we will be creating a network of people, like an online community. It's very possible MonkeyJar will add more features to get the network closer. At this stage, we can communicate through emails. If momentum builds, perhaps we will get together using other media tools.

Who Is Behind Monkey Jar?

Four People Run the Show

The President, CEO and co-founder Kelly is the marketing genius and has experience with moving companies directly to the top of internet Search Engine Optimization [SEO].

Ryan, the Creative Director and Kelly's co-founder is the creative web designer. If there are any gliches or if I need to ask a question, I bet I will need to email Ryan. There are still a few bugs to work out. We must give him a big applause so far for being able to integrate so many features.

I wouldn't be surprised if a year from now the dashboard of member pages has even more friendly features.

It sounds like Monkey Jar's Promotional Director, Davrin, markets the site to the public. I would like to learn more about his job and if he is the brains behind the imaging and style of the site. Sarah O, Director of Affiliate Relationships, has an incredible job and must have a winning personality to have gathered so many well-known affiliates to join this grand adventure.

Sarah has the vision for Monkey Jar's future. She collaborates with clients to develop campaign goals and commission structures, as well as implementing new affiliate recruitment and retention plans. Four major team players at the top of the tree are screeching and hollering to visit MonkeyJar and grow the tree. With each new branch, limb and leaf we can shake some green from the tree.

My Favorite Stores

You set up your very own shopping mall by dragging the store buttons into your basket. There is a way to 'favorite' up to sixteen stores. I wish we could rearrange the buttons to our liking, but at this time it doesn't appear to be a feature. This website reminds me very much of the NING networks.

It provides the basics and I believe over time they will develop more friendly useability and features as this Beta gets tested in the marketplace.

You can see that I really like hardware, chocolate, snapfish photos, LensCrafters Glasses, LifeExtension Health News, Logitech webcams, National Geographic for the finest world culture and photographs, Sears for Kenmore appliances, Transparent Language, Travelocity for booking flights, and VistaPrint for business cards.

Up to Sixteen Favorite Slick Buttons

How Categories Are Set Up

Besides favorites there are many categories including: Accessories, Art, Photo, Music, Automotive, Beauty, Books-Media, Business, Buying & Selling, Careers, Clothing/Apparel, Computer Electronics, Department Stores/Malls, Education, Entertainment, Family, Financial Services, Foods/Drinks, Games/Toys, Gifts/Flowers, Health & Wellness, Home & Garden, Insurance, Legal, Marketing, Non-Profit, Online Services, Pets, Recreation/Leisure, Seasonal, Shoes, Sport/Fitness, Telecommunications and Travel.

It seems as if that covers just about everything. You can view a few of the store buttons and then expand out to see many more. Some categories contain hundreds of online stores. I don't see how you can go wrong by starting your online shopping experience here.

Win-Win

As more people join the frey I can see the competitive atmosphere easily entice more stores to sign up as affiliates. They will give back to the online shopping mall hosts for advertising their items as members raise them to a favorites position. I'm wondering if MonkeyJar can leverage that positioning? It is pretty smart to get the public to do your advertising for your company.

This is happening literally everywhere. When I go into the bank they give you a slip of paper that says bring in a friend and you will both receive $25 back as a thank you. It's a finders fee. I have not broached the subject of banking with friends, nor ever asked them to visit "my bank" so that we can get a few dollars. Hmmm. Maybe it's not a bad idea.

Somehow, I feel this is less intimidating. I don't know why. Not that I feel anonymous, but more like we're a party to this together. Also, once the system is in place, it basically runs itself and can monetize over the course of years. I like the idea that it just builds as people join my Tree. We grow new branches and help each other.

There's more information about the fundraising goodwill efforts that happen with MonkeyJar. If you join, I would really appreciate that your join my troop as a thank you for me pushing you over the edge of this tipping point to a new venture.

Just For Fun

Marketing Goals

One of the main marketing goals is to get someone to walk into your store. Now this is an online store so it is a bit different and also the same. Why? Because once you walk into the store you are tempted to buy.

The cool thing about MonkeyJar is that by entering each of the stores into my mall I am becoming more aware of the variety of stores available. I am also learning about new stores that I never had any contact with in the past. I can tell that there are regional stores and specialty stores for every kind of need and personality.

I call this a smart marketing strategy.

This Is Where You Sign Up
