Is An Unhealthy Breakfast Better Than No Breakfast At All?

Yes- not that you should go off and order the Meat Lover's Breakfast at Denny's each morning.  Actually there seems to be a lot of disagreement in the benefits of a fruit laden bowl of oatmeal and several slabs of bacon, eggs, and cheese with a serving of biscuits and gravy, but both may be preferable to nothing at all. Mark Pereira, Ph.D., an epidemiologist at the University of Minnesota studies breakfast habits and claims that a Latte would probably be better than nothing because you are getting Vitamin D and calcium from the
milk.

It seems that even foods with no nutritional value such as doughnuts, curb your appetite for a little while.  Skipping breakfast may make you hungrier and lead you to overeat so you really should try to eat something.  Just be careful not to binge.
