The Renegade Network Marketer

If you've already read Ann Sieg's Renegade Network Marketer, then chances are you're a fan. However, some of you might still be uncertain about a few things. You might think she's trashing the industry that you love. Or you might be suspicious that her real intent is to get you to push her book.

Let's take a look at those two questions.

1. Does Ann Sieg's 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing trash the network marketing industry?

In part, yes. Ann outlines some key things about the network marketing industry that don't work, or rather that don't work well for most people. However, Its important to point out that the old school methods (putting together your contact list of 100 names, prospecting at the park or the grocery store, and calling leads) do work for some people. There are some people on my team who have been very successful with these methods. The problem is that they don't work for most people. Or at least, they only work to a point. Most people can go out and enroll a few folks. The industry average is three. But to achieve real success and sustainable results, takes a very unique kind of individual.

What Ann Sieg provides is a solution for the rest of us. The ones who don't want to be looking for the chance to introduce their company or products in every conversation. One of Ann's 7 Great Lies is that everyone is your prospect. She's right. Not everyone wants what you have to sell. And approaching everyone you meet is not only inefficient, it gives the industry a bad rap because it reinforces the image of the MLM pariah.

Rather than approach everyone, Ann suggests that you attract qualified prospects to you. So what makes a prospect qualified? The most important criteria is that they've shown an interest in what you're offering and have asked you for more information. When they find you and seek you out, you're viewed as an expert. Its called attraction marketing and its taking the network marketing industry by storm.

Ann goes on to outline other problems with the network marketing industry. I'm not going to go into all of them here. You can read them for yourself by downloading her free ebook. Judge for yourself. Some of her insights might hit home and others might not resonate with you. But I will tell you one thing. If you keep an open mind and understand that Ann is sharing this information in an effort to bring the industry to a new level, then I have no doubt you will find great value in her words.

2. Is Ann Sieg trying to help you or just get you to sell her book?

I'm a skeptic at heart and when I first read Ann's book, I did have the thought in the back of my mind that it was all a big scheme to get people to sell the book. Then I read the book again. This time suspending judgement and really opening my mind to learning what I could from it. And I realized that there were many ways in which The Renegade Network Marketer could help me build my business, including the following:

  • Leads - Ann shows you how to attract high quality leads instead of chasing after people
  • Revenue - You'll learn how to get paid for attracting people to you, and how to earn multiple streams of income (beyond just the sale of her book) through affiliate marketing
  • Education - You'll get tremendous marketing training
  • Practice - Ann gives you a marketing system to use that will give you practice as you move on to create your own system

Keep in mind, then when you buy The Renegade Network Marketer (it is $67 and offers an affiliate payout of $33.50), you also have access to an information packed back-end system. There you will find marketing tools, training and access to over 30 affiliate programs where you can create multiple streams of income.

I should add that I'm fortunate to be on Ann Sieg's Send Out Cards team (which is Ann's primary business) and have heard several of her trainings, as well as spoken to some folks she works with directly. After really listening to her message, I get it.

Great hub Cindy! You get it! Thanks for helping to spread the word! I can't tell you what a relief it is to me to not have to talk to everyone I meet in the grocery line up. I don't even feel guilty about not talking to anyone and everyone because I know there are plenty of qualified prospects online that already understand network marketing.
