Are Apple the coolest company in the world?

to say "Apple make great products" is stating the obvious. I could spend all day Waxing lyrical about the products they create and the marketing they implement, but when you look closely at what the company has achieved over the past 10 years then purchasing shares in Apple is definitely a safe bet.

So are Apple the coolest company in the world? I would definitely say "Yes" but I would also point out just how innovative they have been over recent times. The new magic mouse as a perfect example of how the company strive for innovation and always staying one step ahead of the competition (I'm sounding like I am making a keynote speech now).When you look back, their fortunes started to turn when Apple launched the cool looking G3 series with a range of towers and Imacs that just looked amazing at the time. The Imac in particular was a real innovation, it looked stunning (and original I might add) plus it was a complete computer in a shell. designers and students alike couldn't get enough of iMac but to many people an Apple was still exactly that, a machine for designers.

After the G4 had expired the G5 series moved the company in a different direction. The entire series was given a massive makeover with aluminium casing replacing the pretty but aging plastic housing. The introduction of LCD technology meant that the Imac looked more beautiful than ever before, and it became the most compact all in one computer available. The Macbook and Macbook pro became the sexiest laptop to own and people started to buy them because of how they looked, even if they didn't know how to use one! Then came the current generation of Intel based Macs that we take it for granted. Back at the time, Apples announcement of moving from IBM chips to Intel was massive news, the G5 was a great chip but cooling issues prevented it from being used in Macbooks and PowerBooks alike, so the company moved over to core 2 CPU's.

The there is the iPod, another innovative product by Apple that created a market that to this day, it still dominates. The iPod is an amazing piece of kit, bettered only by next generation iPods such as the nano and the touch. You know the importance of a product when a generation of people are named after it!!

And just when you think they could come up with anything else, they invent the best mobile phone the world has ever seen. The iphone is one of the most innovative products the world has ever seen, mixing modern technology with practicality. To date the iPhone has not been surpassed, and with the launch of the 3GS, it doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon.

There are many other things we could touch on, like how cool an Apple store is, how amazing Apple advertising is and how they have used the power of good advertising to bring Apple products into the mainstream and how good their operating system is, it's easy to forget that the Apple empire was built on a Unix based operating system THAT WORKS.

it's a good time to own an Apple, and an even better time to own shares in them, that's for sure!!
