65Cyprus is a wonderful island with magnificent scenery, clear blue waters and a rich heritage. When you retire or holiday in Cyprus you'll enjoy an easy going, relaxed, out door way of life in any month of the year.

You will see marvelously preserved examples of floor mosaics illustrated with mythological scenes at the remains of Roman villas in Paphos or see the charming Baths of Aphrodite located in the Akamas peninsula nature reserve, where myths recount she met her lover Adonis. Nearby is the ruined castle (really a monastery) at Pyrgos which Aphrodite also visited.
Paphos Cyprus
The district of Paphos, in the Southwest of Cyprus is a popular area for both tourists and retirees. Archaeological and historical treasures are everywhere, from the Tomb of the Kings to the network of catacombs used by the early Christians. There are mysterious caves and vaults to explore and beautiful soft sand beaches lapped by a turquoise sea. Paphos and the surrounding area is an ideal choice for a holiday or retirement home. Two districts make up Paphos, the beach area known as Pano Paphos and the town itself called Kato Paphos. In Pano Paphos are lovely soft sand beaches, which include the well known Coral Bay beach, and the popular promenade bordering the sea where tourists and locals stroll on warm summer evenings. It is also famous for its medieval fort and old harbor but shopping is also a popular activity in modern malls and boutiques in Paphos town.
