Is Efusjon's Compensation Plan Unique or a Scam?

What is a Compensation Plan?

If you choose to do business as a multi-level or network marketer, the first thing you want to look at is the company's compensation plan. Why? Because you're in it to make money. Yes, it's great to have a terrific product, but we all want to GET PAID!

Types of Compensation Plans:

The word of death to any marketer is "Pyramid." Also known as a Unilevel Matrix, it allows you unlimited width and limited depth. Say you sign up 10 people, and they sign up 10 people and so on. A typical unilevel will pay down five or more levels. You could have 100 people on your 2nd level, 1,000 on your 3rd level, 10,000 on the 4th and 100,000 on the fifth. But how much are you getting paid? It depends on the commissions assigned to each level. If this is being offered, many times you have to accrue a lot of people to make money. You typically cannot make MORE money than the person above you.

Next, I want to discuss a Forced Matrix. Similar to the pyramid, but limited. Usually these plans are 3 people wide and 9 people down. For instance, you start with 3, then 9, then gradually build to 29,523.

Binary Plans allow you two legs in a forced matrix structure. You earn commission on the entire volume of your weakest leg.

The truth is, I could go ON and ON about the types of MLM Compensation Plans, the variations, the pitfalls...

How is Efusjon's Compensation Plan Different?

Efusjon's compensation plan is similar to a forced matrix, with a 3x15 level set-up. It's called the "Power of 3." Get 3 people below you, they get 3 etc. You can earn up to 4.5% of 151,000 spots. You can also make money laterally, earning 1% from NEIGHBORS. These are people you don't even know.

The beauty of this concept is that once you get three people to join, then you assist others in getting their three. It's a "pay it forward" concept. Good will to others will attract good will to your business.

What about Facebook marketing?

The Efusjon Energy Club is launching in July 2009 to FACEBOOK.RAD, a game created by Derek Broes, former Microsoft executive, creator of social network Kazaa and former VP at Paramount,is going to launch to all your friends on Facebook if you're an Efusjon distributor. They will play a game, then be invited to join Efusjon. If they decline, the game launches to THEIR friends etc. Will this add to your compensation plan? Yes. It brings in more members into your forced matrix.

RAD is a game that focuses on Efusjon fighting unhealthy energy drinks. It has a fun, educational focus fitting with the health/wellness campaign of Efusjon. If you are signed as a distributor with Efusjon, on July 4th, you will download the RAD application to your profile page. Then-- go to bed, make a snack, whatever you want. The game automatically launches to your friends. Within 72 hours, it moves on to their friends and so on.

Will RAD be the only game on Facebook for Efusjon?

No! eWorlds is the 2nd game where you control your destiny and "change the world" through harvesting, exploring, building and conquering. A more comprehensive game, like Runescape, eWorlds will be another means of getting the word out about Efusjon. Coming soon!

Steve Jobs recently complimented Derek Broes, wishing he'd invented this marketing method. Efusjon is also gearing an  iPhone campaign with an application that educates people about Efusjon!!

Sorry but I do not like any plans that require the autoship of products monthly to stay active in the compensation plan. Especially 4 cases of an energy drink for $120.00. I know a lot of friends that started out happy with Mona Vie until their garages were full of cases of spoiling product and they finally started giving it away and quiting after losing most of their friendships.

Thanks for your comments, Brian. Efusjon is not marketing a retail product, although many hotels and restaurants are promoting it as not only a healthy alternative to energy drinks, but as a hangover assister. Efusjon is like a "wine club." If you're already spending money on coffee and/or energy drinks, this is an alternative. It is for you to consider how much is spent on the products you currently use per month to see if this is an alternative that makes sense-- and can make you money. It pays for itself as your downline continues. Be sure and look at all the facts before judging and/or comparing to other networking marketing plans that might not have worked. I encourage everyone to check all facts before becoming involved in any business opportunity, including Efusjon!

why did the efusjon comp plan change in 2009? The 2008 comp plan was way better? The 2009 plan... pretty much sucks... there is no upfront money... no fast starts, nothing.

I live in a place where being a network salesperson makes you one of "those people". With each new network marketing trend comes a few people I know getting into it to see what is going on. So, I am fortunate enough to see what goes on without getting burned. After several decades of looking into company after company, trend after trend, it all boils down to one recipe: build out a wide network to feed the founders using the latest fads and technology as the hook. The usual participants believe a different-shaped web reduces their risk. They have heard about the virtues of "viral marketing" but do not understand its true conversion from sales/ad exposure (# of impressions) to dollars and cents. The product is nice, but it's not truly differentiable from the sea of others like it. The ingredients that define it as an energy drink are the same ingredients that make it unhealthy. Just because a "screwdriver" has orange juice mixed in with the vodka doesn't mean it is a healthy alcoholic drink. Same is true for Edge as an "healthy" energy drink.

The continued effort of these network marketing scams (er schemes) is justified by the wealth made by few on the backs of many. Funny how all involved have the same goal in mind but only a few understand how much less potential there is the further he/she lies on down the downline.

Efusjon will be an interesting one to watch, purely because of all the facebook hype. Do I think the link with facebook will mean instant success? No.

Infact, conversely it could make life as a networker even tougher as people can see you coming!

The bottom line with any MLM is not the product, the compensation plan or indeed the company and again the Efusjon model will see 97% struggle and 3% succeed. It's about positioning yourself as the expert so that people will join you and you'll be one of the 3%.

How do you do this? Learn to market effectively online. Find a way to put your opportunity to make money in front of thousands of people looking for it - they're out there believe me and when you know how to do this teach others and they might just want to listen to you.

Compensation plans mean nothing when you cant find a customer or business builder to join you.

Wow...some of you have a lot to learn!

First, matrix plans do NOT work! Of the 30,000-50,000 opportunties that have launched over the past 6 decades, only 1 has experienced any signficant, long term success with a matrix pay plan-one! Whenever something only works once, we call that a fluke! Nobody in their right mind would get involved with something that has only worked once! (Owners looking for a short term cash grab like them because they know that their company is not likely to be around 2-3 years from now and matrix plans pay out less money than any other pay plan due to all the breakage that occurs, regardless of whether it's a forced matrix, has compression, etc.)

Furthermore, the one particular company that has had some success launched 25 years ago, when there were far fewer opportunties available. Today that same company probably wouldn't survive 10 years.

No experienced or knowledgeable network marketing professional with an understanding of the history of our industry and compensation plans would ever work a matrix plan, no matter what typical wrinkle you add such as forced matrix, compression, or some new fangled idea!

Additionally, regulators consider matrix pay plans gimmickly and they're most often associated with "money games."

The Facebook angle has been one big hype job! In fact, Facebook itself is not real happy! Furthermore, driving traffic and attracting eyeballs is one thing-whether or not they stick once they sign up for the long term is another matter, and in fact, due to having a matrix plan, that virtually assures they won't stick long term.

In terms of the product, VEMMA has a far superior energy drink called Verve, both in terms of ORAC value, ingredients, and its formula has clinical studies, Efusjon's doesn't!

In addition, Verve was just recently named 2009 Product of the Year by a leading fitness/health publication whose judging panel included fitness experts, doctors, and anti-aging specialists, and it's the official energy drink of 4 U.S. pro sports teams.

Finally, Efusjon is relatively new, and that's the 3rd major strike against! 98% of new companies fail in the first 2-3 years, and only 1 company out of every 300-500 that launch survive 5-10 years! One! You can get better odds than that in Las Vegas.

I, for one, am not surprised that 9 out of 10 people fail in network marketing. Your objective should be to put the odds of success in your favor, not try to beat the odds. You're guaranteeing your failure getting involved with 1) a groundfloor company and 2) a groundfloor company with a matrix pay plan! Nothing like stacking the deck against yourself right from the start!

People jumping on the Efusjon bandwagon definitely need to read "The 6 Keys to MLM Success in the New Millennium-How to Make a Smart Decision and Put the Odds of Success in Your Favor!" If they knew the 6 keys, they wouldn't be doing Efusjon!

By the way, this whole "position yourself to be an expert" mantra is doing more damage than good! I talk to more people who do this who have no experience, no track record of success, and all of a sudden they're an expert! Please! They lose all their credibility when they come across people like ourselves who are experts. It's a bill of goods being pushed by alleged "internet gurus" so that you'll buy their stuff with promises of making you an internet marketing star and expert.

Learning how to effectively market online doesn't make you an expert in network marketing! Just because you can do one well doesn't mean you know what you're talking about when it comes to the other. In fact, without knowing "the 6 Keys," I can virtually guarantee you that you'll fail in the network marketing opportunity you're looking at, regardless of how great you are at marketing online, unless you get lucky, and no smart entrepreneur bets their success on luck!

To answer Richard's complaint, the Ignite Bonus Program was just announced. You now get paid $75 on the first order of the people you personal sponsor, plus you get $200 for each person that meets Executive (finds 3 people to join) and puts you as their coach. So essentially if you find 3 people and those 3 people each find 3, you make $825 in bonus upfront commissions.

I explain more at http://www.fullfusjon.com/club

FYI - MLMDreamTeam has been on most of the eFusjon blogs/social sites bashing the company to try and drive people to his opportunity. Its just a marketing technique...a sly one at that...but just beware folks.
