High-Potency Resveratrol vs. Trans-Resveratrol

Scientists still argue about the most effective dosage of resveratrol. Some believe it is 50mg per day, others say 500mg. I think we should focus on a rational decision instead of listening to the opinion of any resveratrol promoters, even if they have popular names like Dr. Sinclair or Dr. Oz.

Many people already take resveratrol. What kind of resveratrol do you take? Is it a high-potency Resveratrol?

There are resveratrol supplements that can provide you with 300mg/day. However, it has been repeatedly reported that a very high dose can lead to dehydration. I am convinced that a mixture of several supplements can be more beneficial. Moderate consumption is the keyword. Excessive consumption is and will never be good, no matter what.

If I take two or three different supplements the interaction of the different compounds can be far more beneficial than taking a high-potency resveratrol.

Most scientists who promote the discovery of resveratrol also refer to the French Paradox. What about the Chinese Paradox? We can find a lot more old people in China than anywhere else on the planet.

Green Tea has been a health supplement for Chinese for centuries. The best natural resveratrol source can be found in Asia, not in Europe. It is the Japanese Knotweed. Pharma industries are extracting resveratrol from this plant nowadays, because it is so cheap; it is a natural 50% trans-resveratrol.

Therefore I come to the conclusion, that high-potency resveratrol might not be best resveratrol supplement you can take. Instead get a mixture of different supplements and combine the power of two worlds.
