What You Must Know Before Deciding Whether or Not Network Marketing Is For You...

It quite amazes me when you actually get into conversation with the average Joe (well, not to pick on Joe) to find out what he thinks about what MLM, Network Marketing/Home Based Business Opportunity, Direct Sales or just a business opportunity is all about. You begin to hear things are that well, very common, "It's a Scam", or "It's a pyramid scheme" or one of the best ones, "It's a Ponzi scheme". Ask this guy what a Ponzi scheme is and I'm sure he won't be able to tell you. I took the liberty to "Wikipedia" it. Hopefully, after perusing through this article, it might make complete sense to you as to why this is not only NOT A SCAM, but might as well be one of the best industries of our time that is helping the average Joe achieve his dreams. I discuss it in further detail on one of my blog articles: Is Network Marketing A Scam?

Let me start by defining what Network Marketing really is, for those who are really not familiar - It's simply marketing through your network! Now consider this example. You go to the movie theater to see Titanic by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet and then get the chance to talk to your friend who has never seen it before. Remember, you're very excited about the movie you just watched? What would be your reaction when describing this movie that you thoroughly enjoyed? You'd probably say, "Hey, Chris, Titanic is a great movie about a young man and woman from different social classes who fall in love aboard the ill-fated voyage. You should definitely go see it with you spouse"... or something to that effect. Either way, you recommend this movie to Chris who is in your friends' network.

Before I continue futher on with this, first take a look at what the #1 Personal Finance Author and is one whose first authored book, Rich Dad Poor Dad (and you absolutely deserve to have and read this book if you haven't because it will dramatically jumpstart and change your life), has been on the #1 New York Bestsellers for many years, Robert Kiyosaki, has to say about Network Marketing/Direct Sales Industry and the Home Based Business Opportunity or Opportunities.

#1 Personal Finance Author & #1 New York Bestseller, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Robert Kiyosaki, shares his mind on the Network Marketing/Direct Sales Industry & Home B

Now consider this scenerio where the Producer and Director called you up and said, "Joe, how do you like the movie you just watched? Hey, listen, for every one of your friends or network that you bring to come see the movie, I'll pay you 5% of the ticket fee they paid to see the movie". Then, of course, you go around telling even more people about the Titanic, especially with more motivation this time around because you get paid for doing it! Do you understand what is going on in the two scenerios? You just perfomed Network Marketing at its finest in each one of them, except you did not get paid in one while you got paid in the other!

So, if you don't have any problem with any of the scenarios but of course, would probably go with the second scenario because you get to profit from it, then, I hope your mind should be put to rest with the question of whether or not Network Marketing is a Scam.

To your success,

Great Hub. I really enjoyed your article. Network marketing just has a bad reputation as many have gotten burned and many have failed. My brother told me the other day he has never met anyone who has made it in network marketing, so I sent him a copy of my commissions and told him that now you know one person.
