Smartphone running on Nova, Next-Gen OS

The news that Palm is going to be launching a smartphone on Thursday that runs Nova, which is a next-generation operating system is been published in an report on Sunday by CrunchGear.

Report says that the news is from " a trusted source" that the device will consist a full QWERTY keyboard that will slide out from the touchscreen.

It is been already seen that Palm's next-generation operating system has delayed many a times and now it is all-important to company to gain its spot in mobile computing market, since there are many contenders which are trying to capture maximum share in there belly.

Basically, Nove is based on Linux, which is highly expected to raise the brand value of Palm in new era of computing. Way back in 2003 when company separates into two, one that developed the operating system known as PalmSource and another one that developed the hardware known as Palm, was the beginning of Palm's decline as a mobile computing innovator.

Since, 2004 era of Palm OS version after PalmSource, they never bought anything new in market and it is still runs the Palm Centro. Thou, the company linked-up with Microsoft to launch Windows Mobile-based Treos, but has longed to once again design a complete product, hardware and software.
