Brad Pitt Visits Nancy Pelosi at the White House
72President Barack Obama ; A Pawn for the Democratic Party?
President Barack Obama equipped with all of the attributes for a great president however seems to be only a pawn for the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party seem to be using President Barack Obama's popularity to get their agenda passed through Congress.
The Democratic Party is the Culprit
Before 100 days in office President Barack Obama was asked to sign a $410 billion bill to keep federal offices working that he signed but with a footnote of noncompliance. The American public must realize that all the the spending is not the result of President Barack Obama wanting to "pork" the government out of money. The culprit most of the time is the Democrats wanting to win the passage of political bills that the Republican has chosen to ignore. A look at the voting record for example revealed that only three Republicans voted for the $787 billion Economic Stimulus Package that had the basic purpose of creating jobs, improving health care, education and transportation.
President Barack Obama on The Tonight Show
Why was President Barack Obama on The Tonight Show speaking with Jay Leno that put him in a position to speak negatively against the Special Olympics instead of championing American's outrage against AIG at the White House? Had President Barack Obama been in the White House at the discussions of taxing the AIG CEO's, the gaffe would not have happened. Also President Barack Obama would have seen less as a pawn by the Democratic Party still campaigning over the country for their agenda instead of keeping with what voted him in office, "A Change that We Can Believe In."
President Barack Obama should have been in Washington D.C. recouping the American people taxpayer's money from AIG instead of acting like the celestial celebrity appearing on the Jay Leno Show. It seems as though President Barack Obama was just another pawn for the Democrats to use to put one over on the Republicans.
Nancy Pelosi and Brad Pitt
Nancy Pelosi, sadly to say, with not enough clout to woo the American public seems to be moving along smoothly as speaker of the house. It is not surprising that she got the opportunity to meet Brad Pitt to have him speak on the castrophy of Katrina but that is another story. Nancy Pelosi got her time in the spotlight. One wonders with the American penchant of popularity with people with clout, how would Brad Pitt has fared in public office? But President Barack Obama should have been in the spot light strategically placed in Washington at the time Congress levied a 90% tax on the AIG bonuses.
Barney Frank in Washington Instead of President Barack Obama
Instead of the American people saw Congressman Barney Frank championing their 80% ownership of AIG and making recommendations to get their taxpayer's dollars back. President Barack Obama should have been in the forefront on actively taking part in these meetings and if not he should be in Washington sending Americans a clear message about his concern for their stake in the AIG issues. Many Americans would say that President Barack Obama sent a clear message in California but he works in Washington D.C.
Americans needs more than the eloquence of a speaker who is in California at a town meeting talking about the AIG "mess" as President Barack Obama calls the AIG scandal. President Barack Obama should have been in Washington DC televised at the meetings between Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner and Chariman of AIG Edward Liddy. President Barack Obama should have done more then to pick up other rhetoric such as a "bubble and burst" in reference to the economy and should have picked up the outrage of the American people. The American people did not want to see President Barack Obama on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno; they want their money back from AIG.
Tim Geigthner and Edward Liddy
It was strange to see President Barack Obama stating quite calmly that Mr. Liddy would be part of the recouping efforts to get the tax money back and in the same sentence mention possible legal proceedings. If there are legal proceedings, it is very rare that the plaintiffs and the defendants talk things over in a civil manner. President Barack Obama should have been the deciding figure between Mr. Geithner and Mr. Liddy as the speaker for the American people to recoup the $165 million of taxpayers money from a recent AIG $170 billion government bailout.
President Barack Obama must begin to listen to his conscience instead of his political scheduler who had him at the wrong place at the wrong time. Now political analyst are looking for other presidents who have spoken out of term while in the white house and calling President Barack Obama's visit to The Night Show as historic. Although a 68% public popularity vote is to his favor and other presidents have appeared on the night show such as Reagan and Nixon, because of the state of the economy President Barack Obama should be at the White House.
During the Jay Leno interview with President Barack Obama, amazement was witnessed when President Barack Obama put himself on or above the financial status with the host in one statement about the economy. The American public may began to think, Mr. President is it all about you or are you there to help the American people as all of your speeches tell Americans to look for a "brighter day."
President Barack Obama Needed Battery Charging
President Barack Obama said that he needed to have his battery charged upon meeting with the Californians at the town meeting. David Axelrod who President Barack Obama gets advice from must tell the president that he has to learn to get his battery charged by putting in some points in Washington DC in the fight to get those excessive bonuses back from AIG. Sooner or later Americans are going to get tired of lining up blocks to see President Barack Obama and to wait for hours for him to appear. Americans are seeking results with their plight because of difficult times and the economy and needs to see him in Washington D.C.
"President Barack Obama, being popular is a good thing. It is great if crowds of Americans get your battery flowing. But the American people are going to start with the public polls and show you that you were voted in to represent them as a commander in chief for their causes. Americans should not continue to be in campaign mode with two wars raging, the energy crisis and now AIG's public display of irresponsibility.
President Obama as a top executive, have someone to schedule where he should be at a certain time and good time management is an attribute of a great executive. But when a fire is burning or as President Barack Obama so eloquently said on the Jay Leno show, if a toaster is defective, you do not fix the refrigerator, you fix the toaster."
Right now the American people are outraged and what is needed is a little more strength toward the causes that got President Barack Obama seated in the highest office in the world. The high seat of government office should not be traded for a seat to the right of Jay Leno on The Tonight Show talking about family trips and airplanes.
The Survival Television Show
During the interview with Jay Leno on the Tonight Show, President Barack Obama did mention a few details about what was going on in Washington and spoke of the Republicans as Simon Cowell, the sour judge on American Idol. The more appropriate comparison of his role in Congress would be as "The Survival" television show or even the World Wrestling Federation (WWF)to show that he is fighting for the American cause.
President Barack Obama should be forgiven as the Special Olympics has forgiven him for making negative remarks about the participants in the program. However, it is hoped that President Barack Obama will say No We Can't instead of Yes We Can when his event scheduler place him outside of Washington when Congress is voting to tax AIG CEO's with a 90% tax levy. President Barack Obama should not be talking about the political issue on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, he needed to be in Washington keeping his agenda in spite of the sometimes Republican hostile environment.

Ralph Deeds, thank you for the information regarding the passage of the Health Care Reform Bill.
Bing news reports news up to the date as most internet news sources and channels. The House of Representatives led by Nancy Pelosi passed the Health Care and Reform Bill November 7, 2009 as expected.
Now before the bill becomes a law the legislature must get approval from the Senate.

Pelosi: 'We Will Pass Health Care Reform'
Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Democratic leaders just emerged from a closed-door caucus meeting that included a personal appearance by President Obama confident the House will pass a sweeping health care reform bill today.
Addressing reporters outside the caucus meeting room just now, Pelosi looked back briefly before announcing what seemed like a deal to pass reform.
It was three years ago today that Pelosi led Democrats to retake the House after more than a decade of Republican control. She said the date was "appropriate."
"It is appropriate that the promise we made [to voters] ... will be manifest today," she said. "We will pass health care reform."
Obama came to the Hill today as Democrats were in the midst of eleventh-hour negotiations to secure passage of the bill in a vote expected to come this eventing.
Pelosi didn't give many details on the closed-door session with Obama, but said that the president's continued push for reform was instrumental to getting the process to this point.
"Without President Obama, we would not be in the position to get this done today," she said.
A final House vote is expected to come late this evening.
