For as long as I can remember I have been able to read people; more than that, I have been able to somehow sense exactly what they were thinking. I used to refer to this as telepathy, but it quickly occurred to me that I was just deeply interpreting body language in much the same way as I predicted other phenomena. I had a habit of reaching out and being shocked as shit when something from a high shelf would fall into my arms. Some would call this clairvoyance, but I soon came to the conclusion that my peripheral eyesight was picking up on things that I wasn't directly looking at and my subconscious was doing the necessary calculations to determine that the object was about to fall.

I have what is called heightened sensory perception. I hear ranges that most people can't. For instance, a house is never truly quiet to me because I can hear the frequency on which electrical appliances are running, sometimes even when they're turned off, because they continue to draw small amounts of energy. My peripheral eyesight is ridiculous. I can practically see what's going on behind me. I'm something of a blood hound in that, at the slightest whiff of something burning, I am apt to sniff it out.

Although I seem to have been born with a predisposition to having heightened senses, I do believe that anyone can train him/herself to be more in tune with their surroundings. Through sitting quietly and, little by little, extending your reach through your senses, you will discover great things about yourself. This exercise will also lead to a growing sense of harmony and calm. Eventually you may find that you're able to predict things with greater accuracy. It's all a matter of prepping your brain for the experience.
