What is and was the great depression?

Be courageous. I have seen many depressions in business. Always America has emerged from these stronger and more prosperous. Be brave as your fathers before you. Have faith! Go forward!   Thomas A. Edison

The Great Depression was an economic slump in North America, Europe, and other industrialized areas of the world that began in 1929 and lasted until about 1950.

The Great Depression like any business process is cyclic. Great depression generally occur every 75 years and last for a period of about 20 years! When USA economy falls, it appears that African Americans will suffer the most.

Great Depression Or Great Opportunity?

Effects Of The Great Depression

Anyone who has ever struggled with poverty knows how extremely expensive it is to be poor.

James Arthur Baldwin quotes (American Essayist, Playwright and Novelist, 1924-1987)

* Hardest hit by the great depression wereAfrican Americans. While many African Americans were already living in poverty, white employers felt no reservations about firing their black workers first and by 1932 more than half of African Americans were out of the jobs. Racial tensions grew as economic tensions mounted, lynching's in the south saw a huge resurgence.

* 50% of the children in the United States did not have "adequate food, shelter, clothing, or medical care." Many went completely without these necessities.

* People who had savings in banks lost all their money. Banks had lent the money out and there was no money to pay it back. Today we have protection when we put our money in the bank thanks to laws past as a result of the Great Depression. However, so just you know, Robert Kiyosaki does a great job of showing how savers are loosers!

Poverty is Expensive

I guess we need to redefine poverty
I guess we need to redefine poverty

Making Money During A Depression

At the height of the Depression in 1933, unemployment during the Great Depression was at 24.9%. Of the total work force or 11,385,000 people, were unemployed.

There is often hew and cry over the fact that the rich get richer while the poor get poorer! Well let me share with you a bible version that never before made sense to me

Did you know that more millionaires were made during The Great Depression than in any other era in U.S. history?

So what are the most common traits of the wealthy?

*They reject conventional wisdom.

*They understand the simple and powerful truths of money.

*They are creative, out-of-the-box thinkers.

*And often times, their greatest successes were birthed out of adversity.

If you are looking to find YOUR way in this economy,

Prosperity & freedom is yours, if you want it!
