Is it true that diamonds are really rare?

When you walk into a jewellery shop and see whole the diamonds in all of the varied designs that are purchasable, it is hard to understand that diamonds are so rare.

Most people do not even stop to think how that diamond got to be selling in that jewellers case! There is quite a bit of process that is made before a diamond is available to trade to the general public!

The Fact is , for every 1 million diamonds that are mined, just only one diamond will be got that is a quality one carat diamond. If wishing to get a two carat diamond, approximately five million diamonds must be mined. In order to find one small diamond , needed more than two hundred tons

must be mined and even then, more than 80% of the diamonds that are mined are only worthy for industrial apply, such as diamond drill bits.

So, the next time you come to t your local jewellery shop, ask to find the one carat diamonds. You had better consider this diamond with new

admiration – well informed that it really is one in a million !
