Is marriage necessary? From your experience, do you think your life is better/worse after marriage? And most...
60Everybody has a different view on life and a different view on marriage so I guess much of it comes down to your personal choices.
Personally I believe in marriage. To me it isn't just getting a certificate saying that we are married it is much more than that. Marriage makes you a family - a real family.
If you are planning to spend the rest of your life with someone then why not get married and become a real family. If you are planning to have children then don't you want your children to be part of a good, solid, stable family? That's what I want for my children anyway.
The other point as far as children go is the fact that you aren't married your children will likely have a different surname than the mother. This is something that I would hate to have a different surname than my children.
So for me - yes I believe a couple that are committed to spending their lives together and to raise a family together should be married.
