Is marriage necessary? From your experience, do you think your life is better/worse after marriage?
62To wed or not to wed? That is the question. You relationship is going along smashingly. Things are great. You're in love. Why change anything?
I would highly recommend marriage for two reasons:
1.) Marriage is wonderful and it is different. Marriage is commitment. Letting someone know you are willing to spend the rest of your life with them, and only them, is the greatest way you can show your love and the greatest gift you can give. Marriage is devotion. Once you make that committment you work that much harder to make it work. You don't give up and you put more energy into making it work for both parties. Marriage is love. You get that ring, you change your name, you feel different. You get filled with a sensation of love never once thought possible.
2.) The second reason to get married is for the experience of the wedding. Whether big or small, it will be magical. The anticipation leading up to your big day will be priceless. The hours of planning your wedding and organizing together will help your bond and will be worth it. In the end, it will happen so fast, you'll blink and the moment will fly by and you'll wish that it could last forever...and then you realized that you're married and that it will :)
