Is church going to save you?
48Jesus is the only Saviour!
Do people really think that by attending church on a regular basis that they will be saved? I love the church and truly enjoy worship but I wonder if people use it as a scapegoat. I have seen and thought myself for a period of time that I can do whatever I want from Monday through Saturday. If I went to church on Sunday I could ask for forgiveness of my sins look holy in front of everyone and be back to my own ways by Monday. Now I know that when I ask for forgiveness to turn from that sin. But as I hear Christians talk it really makes me take a look at what's being said or what's not being said to God's people. I don't have all the answers I just have two cents I'd like to share. So here's what I think. The church for me is a place to worship God, to hear the Word of God, to get help and be encouraged. So after I have learned, worshipped and been healed is it not time for me to go out and try to win souls? Sometimes it's nothing but saved folks in the entire church and Christ is not interested in saved people but sinners. For saved people the church should be like a revolving door. You come in off the battlefield, get you wounds dressed, getting filled with the word and back off to the battlefield you go. JMO! God is LOVE...

I agree completely! for too long the christian community has rested on their laurels and preached condemnation... we don't even act like Jesus anymore! the only people that Jesus truly condemned were the self-righteous pharisees that were legalistic and judgemental. I now hang out with christians that are loving, encouraging, and most of all they get involved in the lives of those around them spreading mercy and forgiveness, and introducing people to Jesus... church is where we rally together to celebrate what GOD is doing... our backyard is where we join GOD in what he is doing!
