This is actually a great request. During the election I was actually in a Mass Communications class and we had to listen and watch a lot of coverage on the election and so forth. In my own opinion I do think that the media had a lot to do with the picking of the president, not saying that they actually choose the president but they helped in a huge way.

Now Obama did win over people, by making promises and everything about fixing the country, which is fine that is what a president is supposed to do. However watching all the coverage on t.v. you could tell that the media was favoring Obama and pointing out most of the good things about him and his V.P. Then you'd look at articles about McCain and his V.P. and there would be all of the negitive media about his age and heart problems and her problems with babys and all of that stuff. You could just tell what the media was doing.But there was also so bad things about Obama out there as well, like the birth certificate, and how he was muslium. But over all there was more of a positive presona about him going around the media. 

As far as the media being happy, well only time will tell. Im sure eventually there will be some bad storys about him, and what if he doesnt live up to what he says? Then the media will start talking about that to. It's just what happens in our society.
