Positive thought versus negativity

There has been a lot of recent publicity and discussion about The Secret and the Law of Attraction, which theorises that what we focus on we get or attract to us in our lives. This means we get back both good and bad things depending on what we have been thinking about consciously and unconsciously. The universe doesn't deal in terms of good and bad but simply supplies what we ask for, and by asking for, thinking about counts, as does praying for or conducting elaborate visualisation rituals to focus on your desired goal.

Basically it can be seen this way: the world we live in is made by the thoughts of us all. It is a mixture of good and bad things served up to supply the wants of everyone. This is why it appears so crazy because the majority of people are not aware of this "law" or how the universe is working.

Others are and know it can be used against those who don't have the knowledge. By that, I mean that populations can be kept scared, depressed, downtrodden, subservient and controllable by ensuring they get a daily diet of bad news, and plenty of "entertainment" that is full of horror, killing, madness etc. By getting the masses to see and think about this stuff daily they will think about more of the same and generate more of the same.

For example, if enough people think war is a necessity then war will be created and continued. If people think there is always war going on somewhere, or it is a "human condition" then war will be the result. If people think that there will always be a lot of poverty then a lot of poverty there will be.

Even if the thought is that sickness and "disease is a terrible thing", then sickness and disease is what the world shall get and it will be terrible just like was asked for.

All of this translates to a personal and individual level. People who are unlucky in love - and I have been one of these, and I know that I am guilty of making this mistake - often say things to themselves and others, like "nobody ever wants to go out with me." Then, of course that is the result they get - no one wants to go out with them. Or "I am feel like I've been left on the shelf," only to find this applies to them in the future.

Or, "my girlfriends/boyfriends always end up dumping me or cheating on me." Coming right up in your next relationship - someone who will cheat on you or dump you.

I can see so many examples of how this applies in daily life. I was thinking about unsuccessful musicians, singers and bands, of which there are millions, but only a small number ever become a great success.

How many of those that fail to make it into the bigtime spend a lot of time thinking about how they never get signed, or how no one ever comes to their gigs, or nobody buys their releases, or no one ever votes for them in band contests?

Another example, I have often seen as a musician, and have suffered from this problem myself, is when the idea put out there is that sound engineers at live gigs always sabotage the sound. Coming right up: a messed up sound!

It can be thought of as positive thinking versus negative thinking but really it is neither because the universe does not make such a division. If you like, think of it this way - we are all incredible magicians who can create anything we want with the magical help of the universe that supplies what we see in our minds.

And that is why in occult practice the art of visualisation and focusing on your intended goal is the most important key to success. Everything else in rituals and ceremonies, in symbols and so forth is to help you stay focused.

However, the slightest doubt or counter-intention can destroy the success of a particular wish to the corresponding degree. I recall when I was in Scientology, I was learning about what L Ron Hubbard called "postulates" and "counter postulates." Of course this extends further to the minds and the will of other people. By this I mean if you visualise and desire to achieve something but then share what you are trying to get with other people who don't want you to achieve this, or simply don't believe it is possible, then their counter intentions override your own.

How all this works also is how mind-over-matter works or fails and how telepathy and mind-reading does likewise. This is why for someone like Uri Geller, whilst he knows he can sometimes achieve incredible results and his fans know this, the problem he can encounter is that a large majority of people do not believe in him or believe that such results are possible.Their lack of belief counters his magical command.

Some sceptics like James Randi are deliberately willing that Uri's "magic" doesn't work and so when it fails they can then say there you are, I told you he was a charlatan. So it makes it that much harder for him, and so it is for everyone with everything they aim for and desire.

In another hub I was discussing mental illness and I have had friends who have been very ill with depression and schizophrenia, who I have seen many times get the results of negative thinking.

I have a friend called Phil, who is actually a very talented singer-songwriter, but he never got anywhere with his music and sank into depression and alcoholism. He used to talk about how "stressed up" he was and how much he was "suffering." He used to complain he was treated unfairly in folk clubs, and he was treated unfairly in folk clubs.

I have even seen him complain about being ignored at a bar when it comes to getting served, and sure enough he really was getting ignored. So then he would use these things as examples of why he was stressed and suffering and of course, the Law of Attraction would respond with more of the same. It's a time loop and a vicious circle!

That's the real trouble we get caught in these loops of bad things occurring in our lives and don't realise it is us that is making these things happen. The more we think about how hard done by we are, the more reasons we are given to feel like this.

Janice, whom I wrote of in the other hub, used to be frequently paranoid and depressed and went on and on about people picking on her and people stealing from her and things going wrong in her life. It was hard to believe the world could really be as bad as she painted it until you saw that she really was getting all this bad stuff going on.

Mind-over-matter too? Yes, indeed, I have seen negative mind-over-matter. I remember at one point in a house we lived in, Janice always complained the washing machine would not work for her. I couldn't find any reason why not until one day, having thought about how her negativity was manifesting negative results, I said, "Jan, can you please get out of the kitchen while I see if I can fix it?" Without me touching the machine it came on as soon as she left the room. I saw that and never forgot it.

What I think was going on there was Janice was putting out the command or thought-pattern: "this washing machine does not work" and it was being obeyed.

Again, in my past studies of Scientology I came across a bit where Hubbard was talking about how a "thetan" (Scientology word for spirit) can cause machines to work or fail, and I thought, yes, that is exactly what I have seen. I wrote a "success story" about this realisation.

I realised today that I have been caught by a pattern here of all the others who put things off until tomorrow, or "mañana", as it is said in Spanish. It is so common on this island that I wrote a song about it in protest, but what are the results I am getting now in several of my dealings with other people here? Yes, what I want I am having to wait for. The results I want have been moved to another day and I have been unintentionally probably making it worse by practising my song and thinking about it.

The reason it is so prevalent on the island could well be that it is accepted and being thought about by many other people that stuff never happens now but mañana. This is what I mean about how this Law of Attraction stuff works on a personal level and collectively.

I think I need to write another song saying what I want and that I want it now!

The amount of negative and scary emotional material out there in the way of news stories, literature, song lyrics, films and TV and other forms of art and media is staggering. This is what we are exposed to daily and what we are brought up with and then we may wonder why the world is full of killings, war, death, destruction, sadness and insanity. I would suggest it is because we are collectively making it that way. We are being programmed into accepting this as normality when it is anything but!

One of the reasons I loved working with the small children recently so much was that for a few hours a day I was in the company of happy younger people, whose minds were not filled with sadness, fear and worry. It was a wonderful experience being in their presence.

This is how it should be. This world is meant to be a paradise full of happy people but it cannot be until enough of us stop asking the universe to supply us with the stuff of nightmares and stop responding to the controllers of the world who feed us this miserable diet. As of today I am making some changes to my life.

I agree with most of what you say on this hub. Yes, we do live in a world of mind, and it is unfortunate that we all have been brought to believe we live in a material world.

I first came across these ideas through Christian Science, though at the time i thought Mary Baker Eddy's views were too extreme. I went on to read other 'New Thought' writers as well as getting mixed up in the Occult and New Age movement.  Unfortunately i wasn't fully convinced and spent half of my life trying to serve two masters. Some times i would believe that we live in a world of mind while other times i believed we lived in a material world. Because this is what i was brought up to believe and is also the belief of most other people.  If you try to tell most people we don't live in a material world but a world of mind, they think you have gone mad.

The stuff i look at now is the Abraham/Hicks teachings which i find explains things so clearly. This is channelled stuff coming from a medium called Esther Hicks.  She was in the original "The Secret" film, but when it started to become mainstream she was censored as it was considered her teachings was too extreme.  She says directly that we live in a world of mind without any compromise.

I agree that the amount of negativity on the TV is shocking and seems to be getting worse.

Thanks for your feedback, William!

Over the years I have come to have grave doubts about channelled material but it becomes difficult to know where the sources of much info comes from and is complicated by those people going around saying all channelled info is not to be trusted eg Peggy Kane who maintains it is all from reptilians: http://www.evpreversespeaking.com/

Stewart Swerdlow also claims all channellings are not what they seem!

Are Peggy and Stewart right? My problem here is that we have more arguments, division and obvious ego battles being brought into a subject that should concern us all!

All of this stuff including their opinions is from "the mind" so that confirms the mental world rather than the material one. The question that needs answering is who or what is influencing human minds and collective mind!

I find it hard not to get caught up in this war of conflicting info much of which is channelled. When I think I have given up on channellings I then find that some info I was in agreement with was channelled! Yes, it gets very confusing!

Excellent Hub Bard! I think you have put your finger on it. We are what we think!. Every time we go the supermarket or shopping centre I say to my dearly beloved "My parking spot will be outside the door" and is, even on the busiest days. Sometimes I have to wait for it ,but it's there, and lots of other small things like that tend to happen for me. But it is very easy to slip into a negative spiral. Thanks for the reminder "banish the negative thoughts!" I have also seen that "washing machine effect" too.

Thanks for your comments too, sixtyorso! I know when this stuff works it is amazing and I know it does work, so that also means that so much of the time when I get things I don't like and problems that I have not been paying attention to what I want or I have been swayed by other people or perhaps they have countered my desires. I know that if everyone knew about this "real magic" and believed in it and practised it properly this world would transform rapidly and would not be the insane mess it is! People are basically good and the vast majority do not want all the trouble in the world but nevertheless it is being caused and allowed because of how the collective mind works and taking input from individual minds.

This is a truth we can't hear enough of! Ever since I read about the Law of Attraction I've been trying to focus on positive thoughts, and it's not always easy. Thank you for that tip on counter-intention - that's something I've never thought about. Will have to learn to be careful what I say to whom.

FP, I am certain counter intentions work because often I have had my plans going as I intended and then suddenly messed up and always I had shared what I was doing with others and I am certain often it has been a case of some of those other people did not agree with what I was doing or they wanted me to fail. In such cases you then have to go back to your original and somehow override the negative counter intentions and it all becomes much harder, and is likely to make some people just trying this stuff to think it doesn't work!

It is a real shame because the power of more than one mind can have a better chance of getting a result than the power of one, but if some of the others are in oppostion it would be better to work alone.

Hi Bard.

You wonder about whether channelling stuff is true or not. I don't think you can say it is all the same. Yes, some channelled stuff is terrrible, others is all right and some of it is brilliant. The Channelled stuff i like is the originial Findhorn stuff, The Seth Material, channelled by Jane Roberts, A Course In Miracles, and the Abaham stuff channelled by Esther Hicks.

All of it is more or less says the same, said in different ways. The message is that, "we create our own reality". This to me makes sense of the confusing world we live in. If all of us are individually creating our own reality, then it means that other people can live in a different reality than the one we are in.

So it means people can get together and create a reality where there are Alien reptilians, but if you don't want to buy into that sort of reality, then you can have a realtiy where alien reptiles don't exist.

If we do live in a world of mind, then reality as we know it, is not fixed or frozen. We can see this in the world of science where scientific facts and beliefs are always changing. Every new generation wants to make changes to our collective reality and this desire for change, changes the reality we are living in.

I can see the sense in what you are saying, William! I suppose my problem is I keep looking further and further searching for truths that cannot be argued with, although maybe that is an impossibility, and by that I mean truths that I can accept as a 'final' word on a matter.

I am not saying all channelled info is wrong but I am saying that Kane and Swerdlow claim it is not from the beings it says it is from. Kane goes further to say that nearly all spirit guides and guardian angels are actually reptilians masquerading. I have friends who listen to their guides who I am sure would not like to be told or to find that these guides are lying reptilians! At the same time I know having met such people that a lot of what is channelled and claimed by spiritualist mediums is not true. This is one reason it is not for me!

I spent over an hour today reading messages on Peggy Kane's huge site, which for many people who don't believe in reptilians period, would be amazed to find that there are a lot of people who not only believe in them but are now researching who are being controlled by them, including heros of the subject like Icke who is said to be under their control now! There are lengthy debates about this and about the terrible fate of the deceased who are then the victims of the reptilians in their own dimension. If anyone thinks David went too far, Peggy and her followers have gone much further again, and as always she presents a convincing amount of evidence and background details. I cannot get any closure on this because it is often the word and opinion of others and either they are telling the truth or lying.

Real people are accused of this stuff and that sets up a division of those that believe a person is a reptilian and those who don't. It is sure to cause problems! The most famous case being Sir Laurence Gardner. Icke, Swerdlow and Arizona Wilder all claim he is one but I have friends who know him and have worked with him and say he is not. How can anyone sort this sort of madness out?

I use the term madness because there are many cases that are examples of insanity and delusion - I have met people who claim to be Jesus and Cleopatra. Both the people who made these claims were labelled as schizophrenic and failing badly in their personal lives and welfare so it was easy for me to conclude that their statements were untrue.

Peggy Kane claims she has found the way of telling what is true or false but then I have heard this before.

I do not wish to support, promote or read the works of any individuals who are knowingly lying but how to determine this is the problem. My search for knowledge and truth continues. Something is either true or it isn't!

wabond  says:

Hi Bard

Trying to find the 'truth' of anything is virtually impossible.

Even in science they cannot do that. Have you heard about the problems in Quantum physics? For centuries scientists have argued whether light was a wave or a particle. Some experiments showed it was a wave while others showed that it was a particle. Then in the 20th century they tried to answer this question once and for all.  But in this experiment done on photographic plates, light behaved like a particle while it was being observed, but when it wasn't being observed by a humans, light behaved like a wave. In other words, the effect of observation was changing the outcome of the experiment. Read, "In Search Of Schrodinger's Cat" by John Gribbin.

The fact is, that it depends on what these channelled people say, as whether people will judge it to be true or not.  I would suggest that this Peggy Kane read something from a Channelled work that said Alien Reptiles were a load of nonsense, so because it didn't support her belief, she condemned all Channelled works.  The Christian Church done the same thing, at one time you could be burnt as a Witch for being a medium.  Simply because mediums didn't support the teachings of the Church.

If you like what is being said, then it is obviously true! If you don't like what is being said, then you are free to reject it as being untrue.

ALien Reptiles are a very dramatic concept and if you enjoy drama like this, then you will be attracted to these ideas.  And if you continue to think about it, then in time, (because we do create our own reality by what we think), they will become part of your reality.  I am not surprised to hear David Icke has been taken over by them.  If he keep on writing books about this and giving lectures on it, then this reality will take him over completely.

Truth is nothing more that a choice.  The more you think of something, then it becomes a habitual thought, which becomes a belief, and in time the belief becomes a fact.

If you do not no longer want Alien Reptiles as part of your reality. Then get interested in something else!  Keep away from people who believe in such things and choose a more positive reality.

I don't think enjoyment or liking something or not should be part of it - I mean something can be true but that doesn't mean we have to like it and this is the case with countless things! I believe Icke works with following his search for truth in a similar way to me - in other words it doesn't matter whether what we find is what we like or not. I have been like this since I was a little boy when I found many things were not what I liked but were very real/true all the same!

As for Peggy Kane she was a UFO researcher and speaker on this sort of material for many years before she hit on the reverse speech method of deciphering truths. She had been exposed to countless people and their theories and her own experiences before she began this new take on the subject. Peggy is not condemning channellings because of what she likes or dislikes or whwther it fits with her views but she is doing so because she has concluded that the reptilians do control it all here (as Icke points out) and that they are masters of deception and lies. She and many of her supporters believe that David had it right until he took ayahuasca and it was then that the reptilians were able to take him over and give him false information.

I have no problems with information on 'aliens' apart from having to judge whether it is right or wrong, likely or unlikely, because I have accepted their reality for most of my life and ever since I first started thinking about such matters. I am just trying to find out what is going on!

Hi bard

The title of this hub is called, "Is the world really like what we make it?" and for my part i would say yes.

I would agree there are a lot of horrible things going on in the world and i certainly don't like them.  But i now question whether attacking people and telling them that they wrong, is a good idea.  After all wars are fought over different ideologies.

We live in a world of thousands of different 'truths'. And to say one truth is the 'real truth' is questionable.  And it just makes things worse, when people argue and fight over who has the 'truth'.

There are many forms of the truth i don't buy into. I don't buy into the Christian 'truth' or the Islamic 'truth' or David's Icke's 'truth' or even the scientific truth. I've been part of 'New Age', Occult and Flying Saucer Groups and met many people with very weird and wonderful beliefs, and i have noticed the way reality does seem to change, depending on the group mind of the cult you happen to be in.

As far as i am concerned, reality is not fixed, is it fluid, and reality changes as we change our thoughts and beliefs.  I know some people don't want to believe this and feel more comfortable with a fixed and solid reality.

But as you said, you wrote a protest song about "mañana", and by thinking about it, you make the situation even worse.  So if you were to write happy songs about how wonderful your life is, would concentrating on these happy thoughts make your life better?

Personally i have read many of these conspiracy theories and thinking about them made my life worse.  I began to create a reality where i felt everyone was out to get me.  This is why i reject David Icke and the rest of them.  The reality they are creating, from my experience, is not a very pleasant reality, and one i prefer not to have.

I agree that stating that one version is the truth and that others are wrong only breeds division, resentment and arguments but if nobody communicates what they believe is true that is no solution either and leaves the world to those who do use the "my truth is the only truth" line, which happens to be used by religions, cult leaders, scientists and politicians, all of whom then get thousands or millions of followers!

If some of these 'truths' have a harmful impact on people then surely they are within their rights to say I reject your truth? Or that it is a lie?

I have no answer to this problem.

I have a general belief that the shared reality is dependent on a certain ratio (probably a majority) of believers who are creating it though, like the hundredth monkey theory. I think this is what we are living in. This is why the media is a major tool of the controllers and manipulaters because it reaches the masses and convinces millions.

I have actually had second thoughts on my Mañana creating that as a reality idea. I was thinking Beck had a huge hit and his first real hit with a song entitled Loser that has the main chorus-line: "I'm a loser, baby so why don't you kill me? He must have thought about it a lot and sung it a lot and then heard it a lot but it made him a success and nobody killed him! So what was going on there? This I cannot explain.

wabond  says:

I think the solution is to allow people to have their 'truth' and not demand that they have your 'truth', but whether people can do that is another matter. I suppose while people believe that there is only one truth and they have got it.  Then they cannot understand why other people have a different truths.

I agree with you that the media has a big impact on what people believe to be true. So i do find it frightening the amount of negativity that comes from the media.

As for Beck getting a big hit from such a negative song.  I think there can be many explanations for this. I think it does depend on how much he identifies with the lyrics.  Your song came from personal experience so you really identified with what you were singing. Other song writers may not do that. They may create lyrics, they think will be popular and not take the song from their personal lives.  He could of been thinking about other people he knew, who were losers and had a death wish, when he wrote and sang the song.

Another possibility is that he is reacting against the lyrics of the song. He may of thought he was a loser once and then reacted strongly against this idea.  Why he felt so strongly about this, is suggested by the lyrics that say he would rather die than be a loser. So when he sings it, it inflames his emotions to think that I would rather be a winner than a loser.

Good explanation re Beck's song and mine, William! The fact that I am living in a mañana culture also helps me visualise more of it and thus get more of it! Not sure how I break out of that!

The problem with believers in a 'truth' is that many religions and cults tell the believers they must convert others to the truth. This is what millions of religious people and cult followers do and believe this is doing what is right!

I have just watched 24 videos of Peggy Kane and do not find her at all convincing. She does the I am right and everybody else is wrong line, she appears to be picking out stuff she wants to hear to fit her theory, she has one rule for her world and another for everyone else (her dead relations are all in a good and safe other world while other dead people are in the lower astral being hunted and eaten by reptilians), and she can do what others cannot do - Peggy can talk to spirits of the dead and even talk to reptilians but at the same time she says that all people who channel are channeling lying reptilians, that psychics and mediums are generally talking to reptilians, that all angels, spirit guides and ascended masters are reptilians! But as usual she has a lot of followers who lap up what she says! Also horrible as much of the material she talks about sounds she seems a bubbly and happy lady.

It's difficult to tune out the world and so the negative energy is going to seep in. The trick is to keep your positive energy higher than your negative energy. I think a lot of people try to focus on positive thinking and improve their outlooks like it's a sprint; they think you can just start this and stuff will fix itself. It's like any religion, in my opinion, it doesn't work if you are looking at it. You have to practice it from the true places of your heart, soul and mind, and the results will follow. If you try to monitor your success in something of this nature, you will begin to evaluate success (and it's counter part failure) thus bringing the potential for negativity into your "attempt." Probably makes no sense. LOL.

Anyway, I am thinking positively about beer and Friday nights, and I know that because I have such a fantastic attitude about THAT, it WILL happen. (I wish I could make that work for getting super models to appear in my shower, but I'm still working on it... maybe I'm watching for results too much lol).

A very interesting rumination you got here, Bard. :)

There is absolutely Truth in this law of attraction and you gave many good examples of it in your excellent Hub.  Of course, it is only true to a point.  If you and I both projected ourselves winning a one-winner lottery for a new car, obviously we cannot both be correct in our projections.  Like most things, there is a valuable kernel of Truth in the Secret.

Hi Bard

I think the important thing about people like Peggy Kane is that she has create a exciting drama. And that is how she has hooked people into believing in her stuff.

I've met these drama queen types myself and what gets to me is that most of these dramas are so negative. What i want to know is why can't we have more positive dramas?  In most of the dramas in books, films or TV it is mostly all negative, until the contrived happy ending.

I suppose we all want drama in our lives of some kind, but i suppose we need to be careful not to get so carried away with it, so that we cannot find the happy ending we desire.  I suppose it is like football, it is only suppose to be a game, but some people get so involved in it, that it becomes to them, a matter of life or death.  As Bill Shankly once said, "People say football is like war, but it is not like that, it is far more important."

The point is that if we get hooked into dramas that make our lives miserable, then we should get out of them. But most people don't know how to do this. For instance many people think war is a very exciting drama, but when men find themselves in a situation of having to kill each other, then they find it is not so much fun anymore.

I sometime wonder if life on Earth is like a video game. We come to this planet to play these exciting dramatic games, but get so caught up in them, that we lose sight of the fact, they are just games.

Thanks for the feedback, Shadesbreath, James and William!

William, I know you don't follow Icke's work but it may surprise you to know you are thinking alike on one thing because he has been talking a lot about how this world is like a Sci-fi holodeck, a lifelike virtual game we think is real! He suggests we are using biological computers and software programmes.

This is a slant on an idea that I have come across in eastern beliefs and in Scientology - that we are spirit beings caught in a delusion because we have become identified with material bodies and a material world we believe is real and solid. This is why Hare Krishnas spend a lot of time telling people that they are "not this material body."

I'm glad to hear that David Icke recognizes that we live in a world of illusion. It would be awful if he thought all this reptile stuff was real.

What gets to me with the Esther Hicks stuff, is that she says, "the world is not broken", "you are not here to fix a broken world".  Which i didn't like when i first heard it.  Because it takes away some of the fun of living on the world, if you are not scheming away to find ways to save it!

I suppose many of us want to be superheros and save the world. David Icke and Peggy Kane want to save the world from reptiles while i want to save the world from patriarchy.

So if we are not out there trying to save the world, what other game do we play?

I don't want to save the world from anything but find myself involved in doing so anyway. I mean by that that I would prefer a quiet and happy life but I cannot see how I can have this when all around is chaos and suffering that I feel bound to do what I can about, and that includes researching and debating such matters as I am doing here.

As I understand it David believes the reptilians are real in that they are as real as we are and the programmes we are running and responding to. He is seeking to find out how all of this got started and who or what is running the entire show. He is looking for the answers to life, the universe and everything! He hasn't found them because he is still in all this mess and still suffering from terrible arthritis. Knowing it to be an illusion has not got rid of it!

Meanwhile, right now I am suffering toothache from a damaged wisdom tooth and saying it is an illusion doesn't help, neither does saying it is an end product of bad treatment under a corrupt patriarchal medical system to which I must turn again for relief and pay more or I must continue using alternative remedies, which help but cannot deal with fixing physical damage. Doing a Hare Krishna and saying I am not this material body provides no relief either because the material body's tooth is still in pain! So yes, I am caught in the material trap and knowledge of this does not solve the problem!

Yes, it is. I've had a great time with it so far, a few rough patches here and there, but I consider myself extremely lucky. And I am.

I am very glad to hear it, Writer Rider! As for me I have had a vast number of rough patches and have had a few over the last year but none as bad as they used to be so I must be be getting better at improving my world and life I suppose! lol

You have just pointed out the essence of attraction and you did it boldly. The world is a reality that created by consciousness, by all means all minds that exist in this world.

There are so many myths that have become real now, thanks to all believers. Well, I'm not saying that this is good or bad because in this marvelous universe, there will always be perception and judgement. What we see true will become true although the universe doesn't judge.

Thanks for your insight, appreciate it very much.

What do you think of the statement "Fath without works is dead" My personal belief if,followed by my physically doing something as a result of that belief will help bring it to fruition.Without that physical work, based on my beliefs it would probably not happen ,and if I get others to believe as I do and they do it in conjunction with me it would be even more likely to become a reality.

I agree with all of that but would add that if you get others to know about what you believe and are aiming to do but they do not share your belief or may be opposed to it then they can counter it happening too! This is why I think that people often fail and I include myself in that category. They told the wrong people what they wanted.
