Is this a JOB
59JOBS Online vs. scams
There is a distinct difference in having a JOB and having a home based business.
It gets a bit annoying to me to see all these cookie cutter websites claiming to offer ‘work at home jobs’. Just click here, fill in this form and presto- you’ve got a job all you have to do is pay $10-$20 or maybe even $97 to get started.
Something that seems to escape us in our search is when did we ever go to McDonald’s or Burger King or even Wal-Mart, apply for a position and then say “here’s my fee for the application”. Never happened that way in my lifetime. I think one of the biggest scams out there today is the ‘data entry’ JOB racket. (Look for another blog on this puppy.)
Survey sites, paid to read, click here, join for free, work from home…. Purely in my own opinion, based on my own experiences, it IS WORK. But not something you ever receive payment from. That’s where the actual work comes in, clicking enough to get a check. These things aren’t designed to make YOU money. They are not JOBS and they are NOT home based businesses. These are sites designed to make their creators money off the efforts of those who fall for it
Applying for a ‘job’ online is no different than in real life. A JOB is something you apply for, interview, get hired and then get paid an hourly wage or by the project. With some companies you have set hours, others you work your own hours. If what you are looking at requires a fee …. Or you complete a simple info capture form and then get started…… RUN THE OTHER WAY.
I know we all want to leave corporate America (or whatever country you are in), but please use some common sense when you look at offerings on the internet. And always remember one thing. If it sounds to good to be true, it normally is.
Here are two links to check out for actual work at home JOBS.

Agreed! I am highly distrustful of everything I read concerning possible income and the internet. But I do believe you can make a living off the internet without the pillarstones of your everyday JOB (scheduling, interacting etc) Although it does require you to have content which is original, worthy and the like. Which means that you'll still be working your figurative arse off, in a less conventional way.
Thanks for the Hub!
