Is google really sexist? well it depends on how you ask it

Sunseven just posted a reasonably interesting hub regarding whether google is sexist or not, you can find it here
basicly she tried putting "she invented" in the search box and google sugested that perhaps she should be looking for "he inventend" at first this seems like a sexist assumption, but a as would be anthropologist and non native english speaker I noticed two things,
First In english the male and female article are the same with the exception of a single extra letter, thus the suggestion made by google would easily make sense if the filter was simply looking for typos
Second, since my native language, portuguese distinguishes male and female words by replacing the last vowel (E or O generally for the male gener and A) for instantance He=ele , She=ela, it occurred to me that this woudl not register as a typo and I set out to test my theory.
Sure enough I typed in "ela inventou" (she invented) into the search box and google promptly returned a set of results without asking if I was searching for anything else.
Conclusion google is not sexist, but its aparently curturally intolerant , I feel ofended for not being able to suffer the same kind of discrimination regardless of race, colour or creed

Thank you for pointing this out Anansi. I never could've thought of searching in Portugese! LOL!! Google has a long history of bombs like this. But as soon as everybody is talking about it they fix it. This also they will rectify soon, I believe.
