Several years ago a co-worker of mine set down in the office and started a similiar conversation with the girls on our Staff. She wondered how difficult it would be to get on the Jerry Springer Show and what it would take.

Always the adventuress she made a phone call and asked which shows were planned for the near future! She found out that at this time interracial dating was an issue. She discussed it with her boyfriend (who was a black male) and a good friend of hers which looked close enough to her to be a cousin.

As she called back the next day, she gave them a story about being a Girl in a relationship with a black guy and that her family was disowning her and her cousin was giving her all kinds of problems over it.

She was invited to come to the show with the room and the flight paid. Once she was there, they were prompted to make a big fuss etc.

The Story was never checked for its correctness.

I guess you could say it is entertainment for the masses and full of BS.
