What Did Jesus Mean?

When he finished the cup of vinegar Jesus spoke these words "It is finished" just what did he mean is a question we will look at.The gospels speak of Jesus praying for strength to go too the cross, where he was beat, nailed, and put on public display to die as he surrenders his life he declared that his job was done.

Jesus claim to being the son of God has been the subject of many debates , wars, and religious teaching all either agreeing or disagreeing, the author believes that being the son of God is a sound answer we are all God's children if we believe in creation."Come let us make man in our Image."The scripture shows someone was present when God made man.Why not the Christ or his son,we know that God made man to rule the earth but man surrendered his ownership and sin came into the world.

With sin came separation from God,John taught and preached of one coming that would renewed God and man's relationship,For three years Jesus spoke to his disciples about the kingdom of God often referring to a place where God and man dwelt as one.A place not ruled by sin as the earth was,Jesus often told those he healed that their sin was forgiven and to go in sin no more. This forgiving of sin had run the Jewish leaders hot who do he thank he is ,Jesus replied the son has been given the power to forgive sin.Jesus was not shy about the authority he had been given and continued on boldly until time to go to the cross where he willingly surrendered that the scripture might be fulfill one would die for many.

If we trust the scriptures then we know that at the hour of Jesus surrender many believe as the stage was set for his end many present believed after the manner of his surrender saying truly he was the son of God.The ground shook and the veil was torn symbolizing the end of burnt offerings. Anew covenant between God in man the father accepted Jesus's offering man could overcome sin the bondage to sin was over God would commune once more with his creation.

Man could once again choose to be free of sin he did not have to be ruled by his sinful nature Jesus the anointed one had lived as a man without giving in to sin he offered his life to God as proofed that man could resist sin,his offering was accepted ending Satan's rule on earth.

Since Jesus declared it was finished many a man have spoke of turning away from there sinful lives and living lives acceptable to God all these men have one thing an common there change has affected more than their on life, all of these man talk of a spiritual force who not only freed them but gave them the power to help others becoming their bothers keeper which reverse the saying of Cain am I my bothers keeper.

This confirms Jesus last words to his disciples I must leave but I will not leave you comfortless I will send the Holy Spirit and he will lead and guide you and all truth.

We can believe that sin rule ended by our on victory over our sinful nature that makes us whole and our new found commitment to help others yes it was finished and because of that somewhere in the world at this very moment one is making the call for repentance and another is accepting Satan's hold on the human race is being erase will you say it is finished today and begin to help others you have the ability in Christ Jesus to do this just accept in believe.
