It Takes A Beating
60Finally, a car that can take a beating!!!
I have been dreading buying a new car. It has been 13 years since I bough my last car—yes, 13 years! I am have been driving a 1993 Honda Accord with nearly 300k miles on it. The car has been a complete workhorse for me and has been extremely reliable. However, I am going to need to start putting some real money into this car, and due to its age, it a total waste of money.
So I guess the inevitable has come… it is time to get a new car. For me, I need something that can take a beating and will be forgiving to its owner regardless of the frequent irregular servicing. It is not unlike me to go nearly 20,000 between oil changes… ooops! In any event, I do not want to spend a ton of money, but want something that will be with me for the next 13 years.
With that in mind, I decided to use the Internet exclusively for all of my automotive research. Price, durability, safety, total cost of ownership, and fuel economy were all on the top of my list. I ended up buying the 2007 Toyota Corolla two months ago and have been completely satisfied. To my surprise, I even enjoyed the buying experience. It was a hugely different experience than my last car buying experience. This time, there were no hassles and the fact-finding was relatively painless. I ended up using an unknown site, www.autosua.com to get the information I needed on the cars I was considering. They even helped me get in contact with a local dealer that was hugely helpful in getting the right car for me at the right price.
Enough about the buying process and back to the car! It seems really solid – the braking is great, feels really solid on the road, good fuel economy, and zippy acceleration for a 4 cylinder. My only beef with the car is I wish the interior was a little better quality. My Toyota is taking a good deal of abuse and as of yet is not showing any wear and tear. If you’re looking for durability and reliability, this is the way to go.
Here is what my old car looked like...

The new Car is 100% better. Its always tough letting the old car go though...
You made no mistake here. They are better than the USA cars I am afraid. But it is the truth. My sister in law has a OLDS and it is old with only 89,000 miles my car a rice burner gets almost 40mpg and has over 110,000 on the clock and still keeps going.
This my NEW Car!!!

Congrats with your new car! I think you made the right choice - in my experience both Honda and Toyota are very reliable.
