Itchy Testicles, Penis and Rash

Itchy Testicles, Penis and Rash

It came out of nowhere, with no obvious explanation, but once it had started it just wouldn’t stop. Like toothache there was little I could do but wait it out and hope that it got better, and pray that it didn’t get worse. I itched myself red raw, and it was difficult to tell whether I was itching because of the rash, or whether the rash had developed because of my rigorous itching. There was something not quite right, that was obvious, I ruled out an STD due to the fact that I hadn’t had sex in a longer period of time than I would care to admit, despite the fact that I’d heard many of them can lie dormant for years.

The obvious course of action would be to visit my Doctor, but lets face it, I’m a man, which means that with regards to the little (big) fella downstairs, I would be far more likely to stand by and watch him blister, wither, curl up, and die before I’d go visit the doctor and drop my pants for diagnosis.

Upon Googling the symptoms I discovered that I was not alone, the search results were full of forum entries and questions such as:

“My testicles itch a lot, and I scratch them really hard. It sounds gross but I have made scratches on them and now the skin peels off sometimes. The peeling is growing and is moving upward towards my penis. Help me please, I don’t know what do! What can I do to stop the itching?”

So having read the pleading forum request for help written above, it was obvious that I and this anonymous itcher had symptoms in common, so I scrolled down in haste eager to receive the same advice that he had no doubt been given.

“Dip them in 1 quart saucepan filled with boiling oil. You should immediately note that they no longer itch.”

‘Itch’ no, I thought having read it, ‘burn’ yes, ‘dissolve’ probably. This was not the kind of advice that I’d been hoping for, and whilst I immediately took this for what it was, the semi-humorous reply of a moron, I was a little concerned as to just how many visitors of a simpler persuasion that may have stopped by seeking a remedy for their raw itching testicles, may have attempted this for relief.

And that is now the beauty of the internet, I am now able to obtain my medical advice from those completely unqualified to give it via online medical forums, and can now obtain my medications directly from huge overseas warehouses run by those with little to no knowledge regarding their safe application or dosage.

Meanwhile In an attempt to bring interim aid to my increasingly itchy ball sack I reached for the cream, any cream, and all that I could find in my meager medical supplies was an almost full tube of something that I’d been given the year before having been tattooed in a back street parlor, on the streets of Bangkok. Curious as to what exactly it was I was now smearing all over my penis and balls I checked the tube, but of course it was all written in Thai. Only two words although unknown to me seemed to be in English, the first of which was ‘Cetrimide’, back to Google.

‘Cetrimide is an antiseptic agent with detergent properties. It has the wide spectrum of antiinfectives against bacteria and fungi. It is used as an ingredient of shampoos for treating seborrhoea and psoriasis. A very dilute solution can be applied topically for the relief of sore gums.’

Whilst possibly not ideal I felt that it was somewhere along the right lines, anti-septic, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal: all promising terms. Several days later whilst applying more of the cream to my still itching testicles I took another look at the tube, and a closer look at the other word written in English, the name of the cream, of which I hadn’t given full appreciation before, ‘SEPTICOX’.

‘SEPTICOX’, I wasn’t entirely sure why that seemed a familiar term at first, it certainly wasn’t a word that I’d heard of before, ‘SEPTICOX’, and then I dissected it.

SEPTIC: Infected, or denoting infection.

And COX.

Of all the creams in this world that I could have spent the last few days applying to my irritated genitals, there wasn’t a doubt in my mind that had I reached into the medicine drawer blindfolded, I was always going to pull out this one.

  • Later investigation yielded the facts that the cream was in fact made by a company known as ‘COX Laboratories’ based in Bangkok, who produced other creams with names such as ‘CANDID COX Cream’ and ‘COX-Pain Cream’. And knocking my confidence slightly in their pharmaceutical abilities was the discovery that they had recently branched out into the selling of mobile-homes, ‘COX Mobile-homes’. I was quietly confident in my ability to predict that should I ever become the proud owner of my very own mobile-home, this is the company that would construct it.

** And yes, my testicles are still itching.

This gave me a great laugh to start my day! Maybe you need to get one of those little hands on a stick they sell for scratching your back, you can easily slip that in your pants and walk around scratching all day without anybody realising what you're doing

CindyVine: Well I'm glad my discomfort makes you happy :) You're obviously the sort of person who laughs at the torture of puppies. But seriously I'm glad you got a laugh out of it, writing it took my mind of it temporarily, and I might have to construct one of those itching sticks you speak of, although I'm not entirely convinced that people wouldn't notice me walking around with a hand on a stick protruding from my pants. :)

Thanks LondonGirl, and I think that you're right, although I'll hold out for as long as I can.

I guess I wasn't fully expecting anybody to read this, because now that it's published, it seems a little odd to be discussing my itchy testicles with people I've never met. :)

You've made me chuckle, but I'm sympathetic too! Honest! Seriously though, it sounds fungal, and you should get something for it before spreads to somewhere worse (if that's possible!)

Mrvoodoo, I thought I'd make you feel at home. I think I might have the same problem as you ....hurrah!

the right side of my ball sack, in constant contact with my right inside leg has been bothering me for over 10 years! allelujah!Having said that its not frequent .. maybe once a day or 2 or 3 days. I'd be in M & S, and suddenly have this enormous urge to scratch and pinch and claw through my jeans. but have to dash for a tight corner or in between cloth racks.

Down to the nitty gritty .. this itchy area is between the base of manhood and inner thigh. It does get sweaty a bit more than the (lovely and smooth and dry ) left side. BUT if I kind of press the area I can feel a small handful ( maybe less than 10) of very small lumps much like deep acne/pimples . My guess is ( here's an inexperienced diagnosis ) possible fungal infection, or problem with the sweat glands. Most probably the latter. Cos it doesnt spread anywhere. Sometimes this problem can just disappear for weeks on end. No itch, no pimples.

For a temporary remedy, I tried 6% neat hydrogen peroxide and it really releives the itch and calms it down. Kind of pour it in some old 35mm film container and push the skin in to soak for 20 mins. Feeling is like heaven.. cool and great. ( i used to spray aftershave , it did work though.. the alchohol effect)So its not uncommon, we'd rather wait and watch the thing drop off than drop our pants in front of a GP.

Whatever you do there's no point scratching so hard till you blister.scratching only gives temp. relieve, and does not stop the itch coming back and you can cause yourself unecessary injury and make it worse if not exposing to infections.I have tried quite a few creams... they are useless.

Try this for relieve!! dissolve some say 3 tablespoons full of seasalt ( or just table salt ) in a small bottle ( say 100ml ). everytime you get this itch just massage this solution into the area. gentle scratch to enjoy the relief.

When I find something that will cure this little inconvenience i will post it here..

I dont think it is std. ( another guess ) cos std is probably more into discharge and pain.. Its only a guess..

Here I go waiting for the next itchy session...

Hey 19, sorry to hear about your itchy condition, I feel your pain.

My medical advice would be to go out and drink and smoke, and hang around with girls and stop masturbating so much (yeah I know it's a hard habit to cut down on), but then I give terrible medical advice.  I think consulting your doctor is probably the best way to go, my itchyness cleared up after about a week of using that anti-fungal cream, but whether that was the cure I'm not sure, it might have just cleared up naturally.

Anyways like I said definitely consult your doctor, they'll give you much better advice than I could.  I hope it clears up for you soon so that you can get back to life as normal.  Take it easy 19 and thanks for visiting.

im done with the 2nd check up with my dermatologist. the doctor told me that if soreness or itchiness wud occur i shud immediately apply the ointment from before.. but not twice a day..and regularly after bath i shud put powder(baby powder will do) on my testicular area..

Hey 19, glad to hear you visited the doctor, you're a braver man than me, but you definitely did the right thing.  Also happy to hear the itchyness is easing up for you after your treatments, hopefully it's not effecting your life so badly now.

I guess I can see the appeal of vids over real girls, lol, less hassle for sure, but nothing wrong with a bit of both every now and then. :)

Keep up the good work, and thanks for the updates, hopefully you'll be totally itch free very soon.

I've had this problem for the past 2 weeks. At first I thought it was an allergic reaction to detergent in my boxers, and thought it would pass. I figured that two weeks was absurd for a allergic rash, so I decided to google it. I'm glad I did. Now I see how much more serious it is. I'm only 17, and would hate to have it as long as many of you have. I'm going to see my doctor ASAP. Thank you all for the advice you posted.

imTurning19thisNOV16  says:

just some reminders.. if u are given an ointment to apply everyafter taking a bath, u shud apply only light amount of it...the ointment SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET RID OF THE ALLERGY IN 1-2 WEEKS ONLY. consult ur doctor when the effects cant be observed easily

Air and light are the keys. Your penis is usually in the dark, and it's kind of damp. If you expose it to sunlight and open air for a period of time every day, it will kill all the heebie jeebies.

putitinnercan  says:

this is quite coincidental, i have the same problem, its almost like a chaffing that just doesn't go away. you claw at it and clean it and creme it but all it does is releive it temporarily. i have fortunate and not so fortunate news for you. this is actually more common than u think.

CAUSE; you have very large sweat glands which cause you to sweat a little more than the average person, also you are probably one of the very many guys that do hard physical labor for a living or play a very intense sport( like wrestling, martial arts or even football). you also, not insulting your personal hygene, dont always get a chance to shower right after you get all sweaty. and you might be a type of person that wears boxer-briefs, instead of loose boxers. this causes your sweat to get backed up into your pores and into your sweat glands. the salt from your sweat dries the skin and causes the itchy dry chaffing.

and it wont go away because it is buried under most ir your sskin.

REMEDY; i, alot like you, refuse to go to the doctor for anything i feel i can fix on my own. to releive the itch i use "Gold bond medicated foot powder. make sure its the blue bottle. rub it all over AVOID GETTING IT ON YOUR BUTHOLE AND PENIS HOLE DIRECTLY. this willabsorb the moisture nd cut down on the itch. if you put it on while you are moist or wet it will tingle, but you'll get used to it. then to releive the chaffing which causes more itch, i use A&D Ointment. its perfect cuz it will stay on all day. make sure you shower as ofter as possible and rinse your nutsack off very very well. soap leaves a film on your skin which can also cause itch, blocking of pores and irritation.

unfortunately, this is how our bodies are. were just gonna have to deal. but theres no reason it is itchy all the time if u use my remedy. it should do the same for you as it did for me. when i first did this, i repeated it for a week, then it all cleared up for about 3 weeks. so after the first week just do it like once a week, but keep using the gold bond(unless your going to a party were you plan to get laid) let me know how you made out,

Okay, time to take a Epsom salt bath, buy some diaper rash cream, get yourself some jock itch powder, and some clean underwear... oh yeah and don't forget the urgent doctors visit! If you naughty no no parts are chafed away and pealing skin like its been sunburned but hasn't seen the light of day since leaving mommas love tunnel, then you had better seek some serious Doc Doc advice. No amount of internet self evaluation is going to cure your slowly rotting Vienna sausage. It's time to really take a look at what the problem is... I'm no doctor but I do want to say... Funny hub man and you have some awesome pages about the paranormal. Oh and for anyone who actually does have a swollen membership club card... two words chlamydia and yeast! Both very treatable and can be cured. Good Luck Junk Heads!
